Creation Charges

I look around with a blank look. It's a scene of thriving life. Birds are chirping and the trees sway with the wind. The smell of earthy flora is strong. The only problem was that I didn't come here voluntarily nor normally. I came here by teleportation and i only have the clothes in my back and my wallet.

I wince as suddenly in my mind 5 neutron stars appear within a black void. Its form radiate fantastical promises of power for anything and everything i can think of. Power Manipulation from the Worm Cyoa. Or at least i think it is. The information that appears in my mind next clears everything up.

It's a mix of Inspired Inventor and Power Manipulator however it can also enhance things. Considering my circumstances i decide to use it. I put three charges into Survival.

My mind surge with a century or two of knowledge and memories. Instincts i never had before open up to me. My body becomes toned and muscular. Though that's not the end, because i feel my metabolism slowing down and becoming more efficient. My body is burning less energy to survive. The roars of cosmic winds in the void in my mind's eye communicate to me that i'm beyond the peak of modern human physique.

Taking a deep breath i can't help but luxuriate in the feeling. I've never felt better before in all my life. Deciding to not waste the two other charges i put them into efficiency.

The change is broad yet subtle. The first changes are of my body. It just simply became a more efficient biological machine. The first thing i notice is that my movements are fluid, graceful even. The second thing is my mind being faster. My body wasn't excluded and also became stronger and faster.

Deciding that's enough standing around i decide to get a move on for securing my survival. I'm still in the woods without much resources after all. As i walk around and adapt myself to my new capabilities my ear twitch. I hear something, it's running water somewhere to my left. Turning in that direction i speed up.

It didn't take long for me to find a find a small river. I can already see a couple fishes in there. Time to start a hermit's life.

[AN: I'm not dedicating a couple thousand words of survival scene. I'm an introvert that never leaves the house and i don't watch much of those survival videos and my writing ability is just not good enough to do it justice.]

It has been 4 weeks since arriving and i've made something of a home for myself here. It's cure fenced in camp. The two true structures are the fence and Hut in the middle facing the campfire. The other stuff are just some miscellanious tables, chairs, cooking stations, tanning racks and etc.

I'm still wearing the same clothes i arrived in and it's a bit worn out. My efforts at conserving whatever comfort i have left in the form of my clothes show though since it isn't ripped.

I'm currently skinning a deer i found and hunted. A few of tanning racks are already set up with boar and deer hide. As i work my way down the hanging body of the deer from the neck i feel the fourth charge light up.

Though this time i want to try something different. I push the charge to restore but not just restore in general. But of a restoration power. To be able to have something return to its best condition without needing any materials.

What i wanted then slots into place. Giddy that it worked i quickly finished processing the deer and cleaned myself. Holding my shirt i test it out. The effect is barely noticeable. I estimate i need to hold it for 30 minutes to revert back to not mint condition but close enough.

A smile splits my face. Oh yeah, this will be good. And it's only going up from here. Standing up i remiscince about my new life here.

It honestly wasn't that bad. Survival 3 already made me physically beyond peak human along with all the other knowledge, experience and memories it added. I never really had a time where i was actually worried. since i also had Efficiency 2 which definitely dipped me into the supernatural level.

The three charges were evenly apread to bring up both Efficiency and Survival to 4. Which was the right choice as apparently every point after 3 charges is a massive power boost. That alone made Survival or Efficiency on their lonesome able to make me perform at supernatural levels.

After a productive day i return back to my hut. Taking a seat i meditate on the cosmic winds within the void inside my mind. As i slowly lose myself into the void the entire night passed before i returned to cosciousness. My eyes open at the crack of dawn.

That was informative. I can't exactly communicate with my power beyond where to place charges into but i can still listen. My powers aren't just attribute boosts. When a charge is spent on a Singularity -what the cosmic winds call what i put charges into- they have the usual base boost to all things related to it. But there's also something of a passive or active skill like in RPGs for the best analogy to it that appear. Though i have to figure them out myself.

There's also another thing. The Singularities can REALLY stretch what is within its bounds the more charges it has. Though it HEAVILY relies on wording and the concepts with a connection to it but that just makes it more overpowered since Survivalist, Survival, Survival Expert and other synonyms are considered different Singularities. Even if some singularities have a word or two that's the same it doesn't matter. I'm not restricted by wordcount. I can make run on sentences with a single letter of diference and boom, another Singularity to stack on top.

Honestly not that useful right now but future me thousands of years later might appreciate it if i live that long. Satisfied with the new information i got. I got ready for another day. I wonder if i should hunt a bear or something.
