Chapter 27: So Confused

Jenna walked to the bathroom to take a bath then she changed into nice clothes and went downstairs for breakfast.

She had always had breakfast with Arnold but now he's gone and she was left to eat alone.

She noticed the men weren't here as well maybe they had left with Arnold. She ate quietly taking five half spoons of food. She sipped little water and left the Dinning room. She lost her appetite, she wasn't used to eating alone and she just wanted Arnold around.

She was really scared of going to the library cause of the incident that happened the last time so she went to her room instead to reread the books she had already read to pass time.

(Beep) she checked her phone and saw that Ace was the one calling.

She picked up the call. "Hey Jenna." He said happily.

"Hey Ace."

"Could we hang out today? I'm kinda free now and we'd be having a home party today. Grandma said i should call you over."

"Oh..I..I don't know if I'd be there Ace I.." she halted when he cut her off.

"No if or buts you'd be coming and that's it." He played.

"Okay, what time?."

"5:30." He replied.

"Okay, I'll try to be there."

"Can't wait to see you again Babe." He said softly.

"Mmm..okay bye!!" She hung up.

It was about time. She got dressed. She wore a white plain straight gown that was off her shoulders. It reached her thigh and she let her hair pour down backwards. She wore a long earring that dangled and a black heels.

She didn't want anyone to know where she went she just wanted to go alone. Corey stopped her.

"Where are you going Miss?." He raised a brow and she stopped walking.

She slowly turned around to see It was Corey that stopped her. "Want to go see GrandMa." She replied

"Mister Arnold said I shouldn't let you out till he's back." He stated.

"Why?." She asked.

"For your safety Ma'am."

"I'll be fine." She assured with a faint smile.

"I should drop you off at least." He halted and stared down to her cloth.

"Please. I'm only doing my job." He replied and she nodded.

After some turns they reached the there was so much noise from the house.

"Call me to come pick you up once you're done with the party." He said and drove off.

Jenna hit the bell button and the Ace opened the door and hugged her.

"You're here. Thought you wouldn't show up." He spoke with a glass of drink in his hand.

"I had nothing to do at home so I came." She noticed he was looking behind her as if he was expecting someone.

"And where is he?." He looked at her.

"Where is who?." She questioned.

"The evil looking man ." He stated. Yes he had that dark and scary aura but that doesn't mean he was evil right?.

He wasn't. He had said it countless of times that he was evil but no he wasn't. She saw good in him but he tried to hide it.

He was comfortable with the way people saw him. It didn't bother him. He liked being that way. He tried to scare her away lots of times but she didn't seem to be scared of him.

"Stop calling him that." She was already pissed. Arnold ad travelled and now she was here with this annoying being.

"Okay, okay come in." He gave way for her to enter as he looked down to her hand and she only came with her phone and purse.

She walked in and saw Grandma in the kitchen and few men were present. There were two ladies as well and she wondered who they were cause Ace had no girl in his life except his sister and clearly she wasn't among these girls so who were they??.

She went to the kitchen and gave Grandma a hug .

"Grandma." She hugged her really tight.

"Jenna!." Grandma said I'm surprised she hugged her back.

"What's going on here?." She asked.

"Today is Ace's Birthday Jenna. Don't tell me you forgot."

"Bummer!" She silently hit her palm on her head.

"How could you forget Ace's birthday? What's happening to you?." Grandma asked.

"Nothing Grandma. I just had a slight headache. I didn't mean to forget."

"I need to tell you something Jenna." Grandma glanced at her and turned back to what she was doing.

"Okay.." she listened.

"I think Ace really likes you." She turned to her with a smile and she fell silent as she lowered her gaze.

"Did you heard what I said Child?." She asked and Jenna just nodded.

"Just that? Don't you like him too?."

"Grandma please. I'm not really ready for this conversation. We could talk about it some other time not today."

Grandma left what she was doing and put her arms across her chest staring at her.

"Don't give me that look Grandma." She turned her back to the other side and Grandma walked to her.

"Don't tell me you've started having feelings for you Mister Anime." She said calmly.

"No Grandma." She bit her lips and averted her gaze. Did she just lie? Why did she feel hurt saying that? Why did it felt like she lied about this?. Was she in love with Arnold????

"Tell me the truth Jenna." Grandma lifted her chin making her to look at her.

"I..I don't know Grandma. It's just a difficult situation right now." She fought the tears that tried to fall.

"What do you mean? Do you mean you don't like Ace anymore??."

"I never liked Ace Grandma." She turned to look her in the eyes.

"You're lying to me. You did like Ace except something has changed now."

Yes, she needed to admit the truth. She did liked Ace but now Arnold is in the picture it only made things complicated. She had waisted so long for Ace to come back and now he was here she didn't like him anymore??.

"Jenna Ace is a good guy not him." She said softly.

"You don't even know him."

"He's not the right man for you Jenna." She placed her hand on hers.

"He's a good man. I know that. Did Ace tell you anything cause He never liked Arnold at the first place." Jenna said.

"Ace truly loves you Jenna and it's time you accept it. You can't just leave him to go be with someone else all because Arnold is wealthy. Ace had been there for you. You grew up together. He loved you from the very start and I saw it in his eyes Jen." She explained.

"Are you trying to say Arnold is a bad man ?." She only wanted to hear the truth. She wanted to hear what grandma thought of him. No one had ever seen his goodness. They all thought he was bad but Jenna knew he was kind.

"Don't you see the way he behaves?. Even the way he looks at people. He doesn't look like a human, he looks immortal Jenna. His cold and dark aura surrounds the house each time he came in. Yes I know he's a gorgeous man

He might be more tall, handsome and wealthier than Ace but I just don't want Ace to get hurt. He came back here all because of you. You shouldn't let him down. Think about how he'd feel."

Yes, Grandma had a point. Ace would feel heartbroken if she ever told him she lived Arnold. She knew Ace loved her but it all lies on where her heart chose to be.

"What about my own happiness?." She asked.

"You've always been happy with Ace Jen. I could remembered how much you cried when Ace left. You cried for weeks, no, months. Still he didn't leave your head. That's true love Jenna. Just try spend more time with him and things would be how it used to." She hugged her and Jenna sobbed.

"I'm just so confused Grandma." She sobbed. Ace was her first love and now Arnold....
