Basil Jaak went off with Jessica Flack and Lydia White towards the demolition area after lunch.
"I find it hilarious that your company's managers act like experts, talking big about a hundred thousand dollars bonus, when they don't know squat. To really understand the truth, you have to rely on field investigations," Basil Jaak said with a laugh as he walked.
"Who told you we haven't conducted investigations?" Jessica glared at Basil Jaak, sounding somewhat irritated.
Basil Jaak just smiled and continued walking forward.
The area was located at the convergence of two districts, so not many people lived here.
Basil Jaak stood on a small hill and roughly estimated that there were only about ten or so households to be demolished, and the rest was all wasteland or vacant land which wouldn't cost much to compensate.
"Let's go, there's a little shop over there. I'm going to buy a pack of cigarettes," Basil Jaak said, feeling the last sorry cigarette in his pocket.
