Chess, Master Detective!

'Chess, what are you doing?' A soft voice rang in my brain, while I was busy cooking my food. As the voice faded, a quadrupedal (four footed), small, black , feline creature entered inside the kitchen. He was, as I called him, Taimuraion

I wasn't shocked a bit. Or I should say I was used to it. By the way, you call me with my name as soon to be famous Chess Recklin, Holmes tier detective or silent unknown Ren Ling, high school student. Huh, seems like a story of a movie, doesn't it? But that's how my life is.

Now let me give you a full description of T (nickname of Taimuraion) :

T is a small, light canine creature that also possesses traits of tigers and lions. It has a distinct long bear-like muzzle with a large round black nose. Its eyes are circular in shape, with black pupils. It has short diamond-shaped white ears with cream colored insides. The majority of T's body is covered with bright greyish white fur with jagged white stripes, resembling the fur of a tiger. Its most of its head and face, and its chest, legs, are covered in light cream colored fluffy tufts of fur. It has a long puffy cream-colored tail.

T is intelligent, friendly and caring, with a heart full of loyalty and goodness (albeit a little gluttonous at times). But also, one that can simply conquer the hearts of humans and other creatures through a thunderous roar or a soft meow.

Natural abilities (that I have deduced as of now ) :

T's internal flame (blue) is the fuel for its amazing speed. It is one of the fastest creature in the world, and it is seen that it can travel more than up to 6200 miles in one day and night. T can also carry me (Chess) on it's back and scout the seven-seas in less than 2 days.

I'm not going to say that I'm from any other dimension, planet ..... etc. I'm just normal bespectacled high school student with average ace marks (💯) in studies and ridiculously average (to tell the truth, poor) physical body.

But that doesn't mean I'm free from being bullied, just like any other high school student. Albeit I am bullied by a friendly (fighter type) classmate named Takeshi Muyurai, son of the largest vegetable seller in the locality. And his sidekick, who is more friendly than him to me, but a stinky and glutton friend named Neo Minomoto.

He is son of a restaurant owner. Well, that is enough to explain his miser and gluttonous nature. But he is fond of books, just like me. But obviously less than me.

We get along very nicely, as we share some the traits. For example, Neo likes reading books, I also like reading books. We became friends when we first met in library. He and Muyurai sometimes come at my home for tutions.

So, you can say that they are the most common yet important characters of my story.

I also have many other friends. Like a great yet reckless but punctual friend, Yohei. Like a bookworm friend ( just like me), Ben Cliffs, an aspiring writer.

And a manga artist friend, Jin Suho, one his famous work is, アートマン Ātoman

Enough information dumping for now. We will discover more things as we continue reading the story.

It was pleasant Saturday morning. I woke up at 4 a.m. Just an hour before my parents wake up. I yawned lazily. How commonplace.

I stretched my body while getting up from bed. Next I tidied my bed and kept inside almirah. How commonplace.

Triinng Triinng!

An irritating sound resounded. It coming from one of my earpiece. You see I was quite a music enthusiast. I bought it just yesterday.

Trriiing Triinng

It seemed somebody was calling me. I put on the earpiece. But instantly, I regretted my decision as a loud voice came from other side.

— Agent Thyrus ! There's an emergency! We need your assistance! Emergency! Emergency! The famous paintings of Forgotten Fire Series by Artist Dinhong has been stolen from Sebun City Museum!

I almost fainted from the loud warning. Now that wasn't commonplace. And who was this Agent Thyrus!? And who called me?

Many questions popped inside my head. But I quickly collected my breath. And asked the most important question.

" Who are you? " I asked in an annoyed tone. Afterall who wouldn't be angry at someone who talked to them so loudly and just after waking up. Surely, I wasn't one.

— ...

The voice on the other side of the call went silent. Like I said something I shouldn't have said.

— Who I am doesn't matter. Who are you, brat?!

The voice boomed again.

" My name is Ren Ling, sir." I tried to say as much politely as possible but ended up saying in an annoyed tone.

— Where did you got this secret earpiece from?!

Once again the voice boomed. Now, I was certainly angry.

" Whataver! " I shouted. I hung up the call. What an unusual way to start a pleasant Saturday morning. I thought.

I was in sour mood. Suddenly, I heard the sound of lightning. It came from just above my head. I took out my Silver Pang 780 from my desk drawer. It was silver coloured partial - toy gun.

I aimed it at the sound. It was coming from above my head. I was stunned ,for a moment. I saw circular ,medium family table sized black hole.

I aimed my gun. As for why I wasn't going down to call my parents. It was because if I said the things which I saw today were told, nobody would believe me.

I saw a weird costume wearing man at the other side of the hole. It looked like a tunnel's hole 🕳️.

That man had black shiny hair, and an model like face which was covered by black specs. As for his lower body, it wasn't discernible.

I aimed my gun. As for why I wasn't going down to call my parents. It was because if I said the things which I saw today were told, nobody would believe me.

"Hark ye, New Comrade. You are selected as the new agent to do tasks in absence of Agent Thyrus!" The man in black shouted.

He threw a black suitcase and a white giant gift box at me. Suddenly, I lost my balance. My vision blurred. I was feeling nauseous 🤢.

I fainted right after white gift box smashed at my head, and before the hole disappeared.

While I was unconscious. The white giant gift box 🎁 opened on its own. I would have fainted again if I was to see something like that.

As the box burst open a quadrupedal (four footed), small feline creature with white striped fluffy tufts came out.

It had black skin. It two bright red yet demonic eyes scanned the room. It had an annoyed expression on its otherwise hellishly cute face. A face befitting predator of hearts.

After confirming that there was no danger, his red pupils eyes turned black. Adding an additional layer cuteness.

As his eyes fell on a boy lying unconscious on the floor, it's eyes changed from black to blue.' So, this my temporary master. A school boy, huh.' It was quite surprised. He strolled to the boy's side and licked his face.

The sunlight shining outside fell on his face. Adding an additional layer of cuteness. Now, he was just too much cute.

After god knows how much time had passed. I regained consciousness.

My head still felt dizzy from the dream I just went through. I clutched my head with one hand and stood up.

' What time is it? ' I thought. ' Currently 2 hours had passed since you passed out. ' A voice told me, in my head. My eyes shot wide. I pulled the trigger of my gun by mistake.

It was then that I found out, my gun was missing. I was in my blanket. The room was dark. The windows were closed. I was lying beside something warm.

I turned sideways. I saw a cute feline. "Ah, so you did all this, you big cute cat!" I said to the cat. Knowing that it can't answer me. I just shrugged and started caressing it.' Your hands are warm .' The previous voice said in my head.

' An anthropomorphic robot cat ' I said as I saw the transformation of feline. After transformation, it looked just like a black and white Doraemon.

' This room includes a chair, a desk, two cushions, 3 walls, a sliding screen part, a set of small part, two shelves (Large/Small) and some accessories.' It said in my head.

"Just who are you? Are Tai Jin's pet Taimu?" I asked. My eyes were sparkling.

But that anthropomorphic robot cat poured cold water on my thoughts and fantasy, with one reply." No. But that's a nice name." He said.

" You can call me, TaimuRaion." He literally said." You can speak." I said

"Yeah! And for your kind information, I am a 21st Century robot cat. My goal is to accompany you to Agenthood of H.I.E.D." T said.

" So, what's H.E.I.D? And why am I chosen? " I asked. " There are two reasons : first, because you have earpiece legacy of Prime Agent." T said.

" And second?" I was curious to know the reason." Because your name is Ren Ling." T said assertively.

" How is my connected to this? " I asked." Your life was, is, will be, always be connected to H.I.E.D." T said, happily. But the the sadness in his eyes was evident.

" But how? And why are sad?" I asked curiously.

" You see, your bad luck is getting stronger everyday. After you pass school, it will gain it's peak. Your marks will always be average." He told.

" Your company will be engulfed by fire, after that your family will be in great debts. It will cause your future generations to suffer. Resulting in a miserable state of your family. " T said.

"Oh, how can I stop that from happening?" I asked as tears streamed down from my face. " I will help you in that. I'm here for that." He said patting his chest. I wiped my eyes. My face brightened.

" So, can I call you Taemon? " I asked with pleading eyes. He looked at face carefully. " You can became a great actor. And you may can anything." He said while holding his chin in hands. He pondered for sometime.

" Btw, where are you going to live? " I asked casually. " I will here, with you." He said as he tapped on floor with one of feet." I will have to take mom and dad's permission." I said.

" I have already asked them. They have given their permission." T said. " When? How?" I asked incredulously." I am not Taimuraion for nothing." He said with a serious face. His serious face made me laugh.

I burst into laughter. His face became red in embarrassment." Hey, you shouldn't laugh on somebody like that." T said.

I tried to control myself. But failed miserably as I again burst into laughter. Meanwhile, Taimuraion was getting angrier and angrier. " Hmph, laugh as much as you want."

He waved his hand and a small rover like white robot appeared infront of him." Tickle!" He commanded.

As if bought to life, the rover like white robot started tickling me nonstop. I laughed and laughed till my throat. I have to watch out for this in future. I made a mental note.
