The heel of his foot continued to tap on the bottom of the car in impatience. Michelle had to fight him off the front seat when he received the call from Marco.
Everyone knew that if he drove down to the house, accidents were going to happen.
"I am driving fast, Don," Michelle chose to take the liberty.
"Not fast enough," Salvatore seethed out the words.
They were covering up distance quicker than ever. The traffic police have been doing their work or right when they had been purposely holding out the lights only for his call to pass.
The news related to him by Marco circled in his mind. It was infuriating to say the least but it happened.
Salvatore opened his door and stepped out of the car even before it came to a stop in front of his house.
At this point he cared about nothing but going and checking over Evelyn first. He climbed up the stairs, taking two at a time and doing so very effortlessly.
