"I'd search the whole universe if I have to and personally tear her into pieces for dragging our family name into the mud" Hans swore banging the table. Seeing Xavier seem less interested, he faced him; "You're not in love with her anymore are you?" "What? Love who? That's impossible, why would I be in love with a vixen like her? Unbelievable. She's wicked, selfish and ....."he sniffed and tried to stop the tears from falling. Hans came closer to him and engulfed him in a hug, "Why don't we search for her then and make her see what she's missing?" He drew back and smirked. It was like a joke when Xavier told his brother he was in love and wanted to get married. Hans couldn't believe his ears. Xavier who thought of love as bullshit finally has someone he loves. He was going to support him. Of course, that's what siblings are for. A date was fixed and preparations were made only for the one with the key to his heart to run away taking the key along. Would Xavier let go of his love or find her?
"You are trending on the news again Little bear" Hans crossed his legs on the chair eating fruits. "You even got voted as the number one male girl want as the boyfriends, doctor patients want, teacher students want, Husband housewives want...."
"Ugh, it is not the first time I'm hearing that. Too bad, I'm not made for everyone". he smiled showing his dimples
"You know, out there, there are thousands of females that would willingly throw themselves at you and worship you. Not every one of them is like Natasha you know. Moreover, it has been years already. You should move on as she did."
"Here we are again. As far as I have seen, there's no one to be trusted among that gender. Well, apart from Mom and Sister-in-law" he added seeing the look Hans gave him.
As if on cue, Mia walked in; " Are you badmouthing my gender again? You never learn do you?" she punched him lightly.
"Oh Mia" Xavier got up and hugged her. "I missed you and your homemade.
"Lies. You haven't visited for over a month now."
"Sorry, sis. The paper works are exhausting. I missed you." He hugged her again
"Don't you think you've hugged her enough?" Hans said trying to separate them. "If you want someone to hug, you should find someone else . Mia's mine alone". He added smiling sheepishly at him.
"What happened about us sharing things? Are you casting me out?" He pouted and Hans could help but ruffle his hair.
"Sorry bear, but Mia is different". he winked
"Silly" Mia swat his shoulder. "Why don't we go eat? I prepared your favorite cutie."
"Oh. You're the best."He stuck his tongue out at Hans and made his way to the dining table.
They chatted while eating and with the way Xavier acted, no one could have guessed he was the strict CEO of the leading modeling company in the country.
Seeing Xavier laugh, Hans couldn't help but feel proud of his Little Bear. He has grown on him and he's happy. He remembered when their Dad died. Although, he was much younger then, Xavier dealt with it pretty well. He cried for days but still got over it with Natasha beside him. Hans wondered whether Xavier wouldn't have built a wall when it came to the opposite gender if Natasha had not disappointed him.
Xavier found out Natasha cheated on him with some other guy and when he confronted her, she insulted him telling him he was weak, and even brought up his dead Dad. Natasha was his first love and only love. He was heartbroken and felt miserable. Thanks to Hans, Mia, and their Mom, he got over it.
"Mum wants us to visit. She seem very happy when we spoke last night. She wants us to meet someone". Xavier broke the silence sipping out of his wine.
"Must be someone important, can't remember when last she had us meet someone. Perhaps, she's finally agreed to move on" Han commented
"Move on?" Xavier asked. "As in getting married?"
"Yes. It's high time she moved on. Don't you think sweetie?" he turned to face Mia. "It's been a little over thirteen years, isn't it?"
"Why would she? She has us. I mean if she gets married, she'd probably have no time for us again. I don't think I'll support that" Xavier whined
"Such a kid. I bet you'd be the first to say you support her" Hans sneered and Mia laughed. "I've got to meet someone" he stood up, pecked Mia, and left, leaving Xavier and Mia alone
After much argument, Mia agreed to Xavier doing the dishes under the condition that they did it together. They spoke about their day and Xavier filled her in about a model he was out to get. He felt calm whenever he spoke to her and she gave him bits of advice. He couldn't ask for more in an elder sister. Mia is the sister he never had. They rounded up the dishes and proceeded to play games. Mia choose chess knowing she would beat Xavier. Xavier was smart and all but he had always been bad at playing chess. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't beat Mia not even with Hans's help.
"Why don't you let me win huh? Even if it's just once?" Xavier turned to face Mia after the third round.
"I'm going easy on you. You have zero skills in this game. It's not one of the gifts the Almighty bestowed on you."
"Hmm, I guess" He glanced at the digital clock. It was 8:40 pm "I have to leave now. The guys are probably waiting for me. You know, we agreed to meet today."
"Oh. Too bad. You should go then". seeing he looked reluctant she added; Hans would be back soon, you don't have to worry".
"You're sure?"
"What am I? A five-year-old?" she laughed handing him his coat. "Shoo, get going".
"Are you sending me out? Aaaah, I was worried for nothing."
"You think I ain't? Get going. Thank you for coming, visit us soon" she gently pushed him outside and closed the door. Xavier just laughed and left the building. If she didn't do that, he'd probably cancel meeting his friends.
He got behind the wheels of the car and drove straight to Faceless not stopping once
