Being OP can be quite boring

In a brightly lit room, the sounds of various machines whirring and making various noises could be heard. There were men wearing various masks operating each of the machines silently. The synergy between them was simply divine, they didn't even need words to communicate.

As they went about their tasks a young light-skinned man with white hair was on a metal table used for experimentation. Various wires were connected to his body and various fluids were being injected into his body but rather than be panicked he looks frustrated and bored.

"Honestly… I thought having a cliché type of backstory would get me riled up but this is simply too boring. I mean who just coincidentally gets this kind of power, Jade is a really lazy son of a gun" The young man said sighing.

The men moving around completely ignored him, thinking he had gone delusional from fear. A few minutes later, the sound of footsteps could be heard and a woman walked in. she was a very beautiful and voluptuous woman, every step she took seemed so graceful and calculated. As she approached the young man he sighed loudly and closed his eyes.

"Still as cocky as ever aren't you, let's see how cocky you'll be when we turn you into a mutant beast," The woman said laughing.

"Well for one don't ever call me cocky again, if I was you wouldn't even exist. Secondly, that's exactly what I wanted but then the experiment would go wrong and these powers would come, I can't stand the fact that Jade caused me to have these powers. You don't even want to know how hard he laughed when he saw the look on my face as I got them" The young man said, sighing even more loudly

"Sadly I can't bring him back to life even if I wanted too, he told me clearly that he wanted to die and not come back, now thanks to him I can't even die"

"You see my backstory is really boring like all I had to do was play rock paper scissors with Jade and whoever lost would die and the other would get this power and be hunted forever by A.X.I.O.N"

"See I thought it would be cool, thinking I'd get some weak power and I'd have to go through a lot to survive but who would've thought I'd become the most powerful being in existence because that crappy old man mixed up some words. It hurt like hell but now here I am, I don't even know how to feel" The young man said

"I see his delusion has increased, increase the dosage of the drug," The woman said

"My Name is Devon by the way. I'm pretty sure you'll forget this but at least you know it, I'm bored already so your time existing has been exhausted. I'll see you again if I want too" He said getting up from the table.

Suddenly everything started fading away, the lady was stunned and petrified by the scene she was witnessing. She thought she had him under control and he was trapped instead she was the one under his control.

"Well then, I was way too naïve. I couldn't even recognize power when it was right in front of me, for all I know I'm just a fragment of our imagination you allowed exist, but if I'm going to suggest something interesting to do. I'd say you should help people, this is always fun" She said as she faded away along with everything around her. It was as though a smudge was being wiped up a surface

"Well then… Save people right? Why not, sounds pretty cool. My name is going to be… Santa Clause cause I don't see any Santa clause existing do I. Although considering how I am what I am this sounds weird" Devon said laughing as he vanished from where he was.

He had created reality and was living there for the meantime, but now that he was bored he had decided to head back to the real one, and now he had a goal to work towards so things were looking good.

Devon was your average 17-year-old, hanging out with his friends and doing everything he deemed cool. It was somewhat blissful but rather boring for him. He was a thrill seeker and would do anything to get just a bit of excitement and his friend Jade wasn't any better.

It was the week before Christmas and they had been out walking quite late at night when they saw a weird old man approaching them, dressed in the weirdest way ever and he was surprisingly not bothered by the cold.

He approached Jade and Devon then said "Well you two look like very good friends, would you like to play a game. It's a simple game of rock, paper, and scissors the winner gets power the loser gets death"

"Sure" They both echoed. And I'm guessing you know the rest minus the fact that the old man they saw was a god who had mumbled up a spell and congealed the power of every single god in existence and placed it into the body of a human.

The pain Devon experienced was simply too much to handle and his death was certain. So the old man sacrificed his body and immortality by giving it to Devon. So in essence Devon is the most powerful being in existence because a supreme being messed up some spell

This realization was simply the most painful thing he could think of, it haunted him so badly, because to him that was the most boring backstory he could think of, after doing everything he could to give himself a nice backstory he just got tired and now here he was trying to be a hero

"If only you were still here or would allow me to bring you back, I know this wouldn't be much of a curse anymore. It would be one of the best situations ever" Devon said with pain in his voice but soon getting back to his expressionless look.

"I guess I'm going to be the most dope Santa these guys will ever know," Devon said wryly as he walked calmly down the city of New York. After returning back to reality.
