ZOEY'S POV
Alex wouldn't shut up about my style of clothing and I had to keep lying to her that I didn't go to work. She was not having it after she saw the slight bruise on the corner of my lips that I wish she didn't notice.
I iced my cheek and lip but I think Erin slightly busted my lip. No wonder Roy wouldn't kiss me in the bathroom after my failed attempts to make him kiss me.
"Mommy, you are lying to me. You don't have such clothes that you are wearing. Your hair looks different than earlier and your face looks slightly swollen. Did you fight with someone?"my smart ass daughter asked.
I sighed wondering what I should tell her that would be believable enough after my failed attempts to make her believe me. I couldn't tell her I fought her father's ex fiance who had been a bitch to me since that first time she saw me and I was teaching her a lesson today.
"I fell in a pool."I suddenly said when the idea popped up in my head.
