Arrangement

In a luxurious bedroom, a girl was lying on the bed with her body covered with bruises and clothes shattered all around. Looking towards the plain wall she was lost in the thoughts, trying to figure out what she did so wrong that she had to go through this humiliation.

A few months back

In a small city, people were running in and out from the doors, In the innermost room of the house a girl was sitting in front of the mirror with her curly hairs half clutched, wearing a light pink suit she is not thin but not fat either her cheeks were coloured red not from the makeup blush but the blush after receiving teasing from her friends. It is the day of her roka, She would meet the person she will be spending her life with for the first time.

She was not in the support of this when she was told that she will marry someone she has not even met before, because she wanted a love match but her mother convinced her that love will happen after marriage and it is normal to fall for the one you will be wedded to and that's what love is. her mother convinced her that she is really lucky to get such a great match as the boy's family is well settled in Patiala and the boy lives in Chandigarh having his own business with good income and she would rule the house. But will she?

Back to the present:

She was taken out where all guests were sitting. On the sofa the boy was sitting wearing a black blazer and pants, his skin tone was wheatish with the beard and sharp features. Looking at the Parmish for the first time she thought to herself about the words her mother told her, that she will surely love the person she is going to get married to. And now she is sure that her mother was right she will surely fall for this one.

She was made to sit next to him on the same sofa, They looked really good together. After sometime Parmish's mother came forward with a heavy red dupatta in her hand and plate with diya and sindur. Parmish mother's Mrs. Arora was a middle-aged not so tall and chubby lady, With the brightest smile on her face, she made Shanvi wear the dupatta following the rituals after. And then she said, "From now on Shanvi is our Daughter, You should now treasure her we will soon take her with us."

Both the families decided to meet the Astrologer next week to get an auspicious date for the marriage of their children. The elders asked Shanvi and Parmish to take a walk on the lawn to interact without any supervision of them. Parmish was somewhat reluctant to this idea but under his mother's gaze, he got up from his seat and started walking towards the door without even looking at Shavi.

Outside:

The lawn was covered with a bed of green grass which was freshly trimmed and hedges in the corner with some climbers on the adjacent walls one can see that it was well taken care of.

Shanvi saw Parmish looking at the trees and said "My father loves gardening and he is taking care of this garden for the last 10 years"

Parmish just nodded in reply After a pregnant pause Shanvi decided to break the ice, "I still can't believe we will be weeded in the next 6 months, It's really strange, I don't even know you"

Parmish smirked and said "Is it so? I thought you would be delighted to marry a rich guy won't you?"

Shanvi was in a daze and before she could reply she saw a young guy running towards them, He is Gaurav, Parmish's younger brother, they look almost the same the only difference being their height Gaurav was tall but in front of Parmish he looks small, He smiled at them and said "Hope I have not disturbed the love birds"

Parmish glared at him and Gaurav laughed and said " Sorry sister-in-law my brother is a shy guy hope you don't mind "

After walking around the lawn for the next 30 minutes the trio decide to go inside, After the chitchat with Gaurav she got to know a lot about parmish but her heart was still not at ease.

After an hour the Arora's decided to take their leave for the day. And With smiles they said goodbye.
