Crista and Rosabeth met earlier and searched for Pel together and after a while, they finally found a trail of dead wolves and followed it.
Later they found Pel laying sitting on the ground in a lotus position and the energy around him was swirling.
"This guy is too much" Rosabeth muttered subconsciously and Crista only glanced her way, not sure what she meant.
They did not disturb him and let him continue cultivating but Pel remained that way for two days not even taking a break to drink water.
To begin with, non of them were normal, neither Pel nor Crista who would covert anything taken into mana. Though she could not cultivate she used those two days to practice control over her abilities and now unless the situation was extreme she could send out mana blast without the fear of going naked.
Also, she could control how much damage her ability does most of the time. Now her attack wouldn't outright turn its target to light particles but now she could retain the bodies or what is left of it. No matter what, it was still an improvement.
"Your ability is deadly" Rosabeth commented with her back resting on a tree after watching her practice for a while.
"Yeah..." Crista sighed and interlocked her fingers.
"You're not so far from a Heaven's Born" Rosabeth picked up a few stones and started juggling them.
"Are you one?"
Crista paused her training and walked to where she was.
"You can say that..." Rosabeth sighed.
"How long have you been alone?"
"Ten..."
"Months?" Crista guessed
"Years...I was banished to this mountain because..." Rosabeth masked the hatred in her eyes. "Let's leave that, how did you come across the weird guy?"
"Fate" Crista answered straightforwardly, not willing to divulge any more.
Rosabeth nodded in understanding and left her to train. The conversation was awkward to begin with and coupled with the fact that the latter refused to contribute much, she felt like the only one speaking.
Crista stared at her retreating figure and blinked before staring at her palms...she had her reason for not letting anyone except Pel close.
Pel finally opened his eyes a few hours later and checked himself out. He had advanced three times and was now at stage four of the spiritual essence-gathering realm.

"I feel...not bad" Pel smiled, checking the details of the scan Ito performed. He was many times stronger than his usual self and he like it. With the way he was, he could probably blow a Kerki's brain out.
Pel chuckled at his own thought. Kerki wasn't that easy to kill. A lazy Kerki that has decided not to work in his or her life would have at least seven lines of defensive gadgets active at all times. Not to mention what must be inside their system storage.
Before his thoughts could wander he saw Rosabeth and Crista coming towards him.
"How are you feeling?" the latter asked while the former stared at him from the corner of her eyes.
Pel ignored them former and stood up. "We're leaving...the ranking ceremony is in two days"
"You really have a way to leave?" Elisabeth asked with a serious expression.
"I can't take you along even if I wanted to" he was going to use his personalized teleportation he had used to land on Earth and the only reason he could bring Critsa along was her ability to become mana when she held him she would be classified as an energy bank and thus one of his.
Rosabeth was disappointed but not very much. Before they left, she even offered a warning. "The array of which you came shouldn't have worked the way it did and that means there's a problem. The surface must still be trying to adapt to mana so if spiritual essence spills in, it will become chaotic. Many will use this chance...that's all I can tell you"
"Meaning there's danger ahead but without knowledge of what the danger is, how did I prepare for it?" Pel's brows creased.
Rosabeth shrugged and started walking away, leaving Pel with a piece of incomplete information. Pel stared at her and turned away, he had a lot to do, so worrying about dangers that had yet to come was just adding more to his plate.
Pel picked the entrance of the academy as the destination of the teleport. And appearing out of nowhere certainly attracted a lot of attention but Pel didn't care much...but he did notice he was feeling slight joy returning to somewhere he was familiar with and the watch sent him a notification.
Pel ignored it at first, thinking it was the regular 'you are back to the school premises' or at least something related but when a notification rang again he checked and it was from the principal asking him to appear in his office with immediate effect.
He turned to Crista. "Wait for me at the lab" and without saying anything else he started walking away.
"Good day principal" Pel greeted with his usual tone.
"Where have you been?" the principal looked upset for some reason.
"Out..."
"Do you realize this is a school and that you can't do what you want?" the principal was trembling, probably an effect of holding his anger in.
"Pardon me but did something happen that required my presence?" Pel asked with a confused expression.
"You are a student...and should be present in school"
Seeing that the principal refused to divulge anything but continued blaming him, Pel stopped playing nice.
"You're not my client...so I don't have to tolerate you" after saying that he headed towards the door leaving the stunned principal who could do nothing but rage.
"Come back here!!" the principal was seething with rage.
Pel paused and turned towards the principal with cold eyes. "Or what?..." he smiled coldly before placing his hand on the doorknob. "Expel me?...there's no need, I quit"
Pel felt like walking was too troublesome so he teleported to the lad to get Crista. Without even explaining anything he went back to the dorm room.
The extra space he set up could not be moved but it could be destroyed. After doing that he retrieved his space regulator and was about to leave when his roommate walked in.
"Hey, Pel...you've been out so long without even trying to communicate with us, thought we were buddies" Owen smiled before sitting on his bed accompanied by an exhausted sigh.
The other also glanced at him before going to their corner.
Pel stared at them and sighed. Although they were not very close, they were still roommates and he did not want to feel like to feel bad about leaving without saying goodbye. They might meet later on, even though he had no plans to so leaving on a bad note wasn't a good thing.
"I'm leaving"
