The instructors continued starting at Pel. Although they had no idea what his intention was, they felt he had something wrong with his brain.
The reason wasn't that they had no lab but because the arrival of the mana surge was not too long ago so it would be impossible for the academies to have instructors proficient in the creation of mana gadgets.
In fact, it would be a miracle to find them in governmental agencies not to mention the academy.
While the various instructors were still deliberating, Instructor Clinton quickly grabbed the chance.
"We have a lab you can have access to although you will have to work by yourself"
"I wasn't asking to work with anyone" Pel shrugged. "Blue Oasis it is then"
The rest of the instructors were caught off guard by his sudden declaration.
"What, we also have a lab you can use..." Instructor Melvin nearly screamed but Pel stared at him with indifference.
"He spoke first...and I've already given my word"
The instructors were left speechless. Tulip on the other hand smiled, Pel was most certainly a keeper she wasn't giving him up for the world.
While the rest of the instructors took deep breaths calming themselves with the thought that Flora, Tessa Adam and a few others hadn't chosen an academy yet.
Tessa at that moment was out of words for Pel. She took a deep breath and whispered to the others.
"We're going with him right?"
"Really, I thought this was a chance to leave him and run, you know..." Adam said in a hushed voice.
Flora and Tessa glared at him. To be honest he wasn't wrong Pel was a lot of work but abandoning someone who knew nothing about being a human did not feel right and besides he was loaded...with their food.
The trio nodded at each other and then chose Blue Oasis as the Academy of their choice.
The look on the rest of the instructors' faces was priceless, it was one thing for Pel to go but they didn't want to see Flora go there as well.
Their terrible feelings became worse when the shapeshifting twins decided to follow the trend.
While the rest of the instructors almost spat blood, instructor Clinton was grinning. He couldn't help himself and felt that Pel was his lucky charm.
Normally after the young awakened that are confirmed to be variants choose their academy, the instructors would then wait for the others testers.
Although they might not be granted direct entry, they could still take the entrance exam at the academy and those who pass will be admitted.
This time though, Instructor Clinton did not want to wait and so left immediately.
Tulip had no choice but to go with them and that was when the instructors found out she was the one who found Pel, Flora, Tessa and Adam, shock was an understatement of how they felt.
* * *
After arriving at Blue Oasis, Tulip called the group of four over to say goodbye...or at least that was what she told the instructor.
"Okay listen guys, I'll be leaving for a while, but I will come to see you in a week if my schedule permits. I will be your guardian from here on out so you can bring what you need to me"
Pel stared at her before pondering over her words. "So you are responsible for whatever happens to us...or what we make happen?"
"Eh...yes?" Tulip stared at him with her eyes squinted. "To an extent though"
"That's fine, how will we contact you...because as it seems, non of you humans have a system" Pel said.
"We humans?" Tulip asked with a raised eyebrow.
Adam shook his head while Tessa sighed.
Tulip noticed their small actions and was even more confused, then she remembered back then when Tessa tried to stop Pel from speaking.
She turned to Pel and her face turned pale. 'I must be stupid to even think like this but if there's even a 1% chance then that would explain his abnormality but seriously an alien...have I watched too many cartoons maybe.
"How about we go somewhere more private" she then led them away. With her status, she was able to request a private waiting room.
"So, emphasize the meaning of we humans" Tulip said with a serious expression, all traces of her former self had been removed.
"Are you not a human...don't tell me you're an alien too" Pel stared at her and then turned to Ito.
"Ito, she is of the same species is she not?"
[Host is correct. Miss Tulip is a 100% human]
While Pel conversed with Ito, Tulip stared at his friends with open mouths. "Alien too?!!"
"Are you guys also..."
"No, I am human please...he is the only strange creature here" Adam said raising his hands.
Pel frowned, a bit annoyed. "What do you mean by strange creature? I am a Kerki"
"A what?!!" Tulip felt the world spinning and had to keep her head in place. "If this is a prank then I swear..."
Pel rolled his eyes. 'Humans are so slow'
Tessa turned to Flora who was also staring at her and they nodded since they understood each other's intention.
"It's not a prank...at least we don't think it is" Tessa clarified.
Tulip stared in surprise but didn't say anything and waited for them to explain.
Tessa then told her how Flora had healed Pel and the way he reacted to wearing clothes, she skipped the part about his hover ring and tried as much as possible to explain with a straight face, the part where he screamed after seeing himself naked.
Throughout the story, Tulio had many changes in expression but the last part made her face unreadable. She turned the Pel but the latter behaved as if they weren't speaking about him.
'No wonder he is so calm and indifferent, and I foolishly thought it was because he had a strong mentality who knew he wasn't even human. Forget promotion, I'll be hunted for life if this gets out...of every story in the world, I get myself tangled up in this madness...God help me'
