A Super Thief

"Sin, hurry it up. Grab the crystal and lets go" urged a brawny looking youth accompanied by three others two girls and one boy.

The two girls seemed to be dressed in long robes and the boy at the brawny one's side wore dark clothes with a dagger at his side. The one they referred to as Sin was also dressed in Dark clothes but instead of his entire head being covered he only wore a half mask, all over his body could be seen little utility belts full of who knows what.

"Your supposed to the best thief out of the academy, so what's taking so long" called the little assassin character.

"Hey, do you want to come over here and try figuring out the safe route" called the youth angrily revealing it to be a mere boy not even having hit puberty.

"Geez, I was literally born with the Enhanced Thievery power and your gonna question my skills" complained the youth causing the group to sigh, they had known this kid for a long time and got on rather well with him.

Just at the moment that crystal was very important, it was said it could automatically upgrade your Esper ability or the Level of your magic. They were all anxious to get it as it would mean great benefits to each of them, they had brought Sin along because he was in fact the best burglar they could find. The skills were literally with him at birth and that was something that was hard to beat regardless of how long you had practiced the art of lock picking, pick pocketing, or any other skill of the trade.

"How much longer Sin, the monsters are gonna start coming back soon" called the brawny youth urging for the young thief to pick up the pace.

"Almost got it" called Sin as he reached out and lightly touched the crystal under the gazes of his fellow party members but suddenly all of their eyes widened as a flash of light engulfed Sin and the crystal disappeared.

Sin woke up some time later and found himself in a cell..... the explanation given was he had criminally due to greed and was thus locked away. When he had asked who had accused him of such things he found out it was none other than his former friends causing the boy of nine to grit his teeth as his anger took him.

He had been betrayed by people who were supposed to be his friends and even accused of a crime, he knew that his brawny friend had a father that was rather high up in the government so it wasn't too hard to figure out how he had been tried without a hearing but still to lock him away in a prison was extreme in his opinion. They had seen what had happened as well as he had, the crystal just activated as soon as he touched it....

'Wait it activated when I touched, then that means...' thought Sin as he remembered the reason they had sought out the crystal in the first place.

Sin then fell into silence as this meant his Esper power had been upgraded to another level, but this was also something he didn't know how to use. He wasn't sure how his ability could be improved as it seemed like being born with the absolute skills of thieving was the pinnacle but if the Crystal really activated and affected him then that would mean something far beyond normal theft was possible.

With that thought in mind he sat in his cell trying to figure it out, two years would pass while he did this and the things he discovered were beyond his wildest dreams.
