Luckily, the cave didn't many monsters since David had already cleared the ants, making a hole in the overall hunting area.

Instead of just relying on his claws, David began testing out the current limits of his magic.

Imagining one of those fireballs you would usually see in anime, the flame in his hand grew from an untamed flame to a dense circular ball, filled with flames, waiting to be unleashed. Seeing as it was too big and would be noticed quickly, David began condensing it and slowly turning it into a red orb.

As it turned into a red orb, David could still feel the heat, but it wasn't that apparent anymore, as if most of the warmth has been internalized instead. Looking at his mana bar, it actually didn't go down at all.

"Maybe it's the extra fire mana here, making it easier to control and power this spell?" David decided to work on another spell as his other affinity was earth.

Dispersing the orb, David kneeled before slamming his hands onto the ground, before a few spikes quickly speed through the ground, into the air.

Looking at his mana bar, continuously decreasing, as he steadily created some more spikes confirmed his thought about the dominant mana in the area.

"Oh! So even the system acknowledged it! Seems like I'll be able to test these out soon." David smirked, showing his fierce canines which would've made any female with a bad boy fetish go crazy.

Instead of going back out to fight, David went back to his two new spells, finding a space to test it out.

For his {Earth Spike}, David started to work on controlling the excess mana he was pouring into it, as his senses were being messed up due to the overwhelming majority of fire and earth mana.

Instead of planting his hands on the ground, David wanted to have the same results without touching the ground using his hands. Pouring his mana, he realized that the less contact he had with the ground, the more mana he released to get the same effect.

Although his hybrid body and blessings give him an extraordinary edge against all races, without real guidance, his progress would still be slow compared to those with great teachers constantly guiding them to use magic efficiently.

Preserving on, David had also constantly cast {Fire Orb} to understand it's element and the 'feel' a bit better as it would do him well to be able to control it. After all, using a strong spell only for it to explode in your face wouldn't be so well...would it?

David dropped down on his knees, sweating all over as he had used quite a lot of mana, while also using his natural mana regeneration to his advantage, putting a larger strain on his body.

'...Man, I'm sore as hell...' David looked up at the ceiling.

Taking a small break, instead of continuing to practice magic, he finished the beginner's dismantling book and started memorizing the beginner swordplay book.

By the time he successfully memorized everything, David felt the sleepiness hit him, and quite hard too as he even slammed the back of his head onto the ground and instead of feeling pain, he fell straight asleep.

**(Next Day)**

Opening his eyes slowly, David saw the surroundings around him and quickly woke up.

"...Sigh...it's really not a dream after all..." David sighed, looking at his new looks using the system's 3d model of him.

Looking outside of his little cave, David saw a small opening, which showed some natural light, meaning that he did sleep for the entire night.

"...Hgnn...I guess I need to start farming again..." David walked out of his territory, and saw that there were more monsters today than yesterday.

"Seems like the deaths of a few ant armies have already reached the colony..." David smiled, but twitched at the same time, seeing all of their antenna's and hairy legs moving everywhere.

"Nah...nah...they dying today!" David drew out his claws to their full length and bent over slightly to the point where the 10 claws were barely touching the ground.

Marking the large army of ants that were too many to count, David had used a large portion of his mana, quickly making the entire area in front his him covered in spikes.

From the fight he had with the ants before, there was a small core that seemed to make it connect to something, most likely the queen ants of the colony.

From the ants he killed, they usually had the 'core' at their upper abdomen, which he had targeted, killing most of the ants instantly.

For the remaining ants, David rushed in, seemingly killing them in a rampage, yet, it was skillful as well.

He flowed throughout the area, smoothly decapitating the ants and slicing the rest of the body up, just in case they had a core in some different area.

After a while of 'dancing' around David had successfully traveled throughout the entire area, storing them into his inventory for further use as they had all started to release oleic acid.

"Quite a pleasant surprise...though it did take quite a bit of these ants to get to max level...I even have quite the leftover exp, around 10% full already..." David muttered, looking at the quest and the exp bar beside him.

"Guess I need to prepare for a potential death battle now..." David returned to his little cave and resumed allocating his attribute points before rolling onto the ground in pain due to the massive stat boost.
