Chapter 1His birthday

This is my first short story. Hope you like this first chapter. And please write your views on it...

I got an idea of this story when I am writing a regular love story. Why can't I try some unique and also which makes us think about our relations and society? Hope your support will there for this story.

Hasnthi POV:

I am standing before the window and watching the heavy rain. Many memories are reminiscing in my heart. Tomorrow is a very important day for me, I have to meet my Roshan. I want to spend my time with Rosh because of his birthday. I already bought his favorite flowers to greet him. I took leave for one day at our college as I am working as Lecturer in Junior college. I checked the time on my mobile, it is 11.58 pm. Still two minutes less than 12. I waited till midnight and wished Roshan "happy birthday" to his photo. I slept hugging his photo on the bed.

The next morning, I opened my eyes with an alarm sound. I completed my morning business quickly. I wore light pink salwar kameez and braided my hair. After that, I went to prepare his favorite kheer and packed it in a snack box. I arranged a bouquet and snack box in one bag. Then I informed my dad that I am going to meet Roshan whereas my mom gives me a silent stare at him as usual.

" Come soon...." Dad instructed me.

I started my bike keeping the bag in front. I have to travel 10km to meet him. After 45 minutes I reached the place where my Roshan is staying. The surrounding is silence and there is no trace of any person. I entered the place holding the bouquet and kheer box.

" Happy birthday Rosh." I wished him.

" Can you guess what I bring for you?" I smiled bitterly.

" Your favorite flowers and kheer..." I kept those things in front of him.

All of the sudden, the weather is changed. The wind is getting stronger and after few minutes it is drizzling.

" Do you memory this weather? We confess our love for the first time... Still I remember our first kiss... " I smiled weakly.

" I am missing you so much...u know how hard for me to stay without you. It had been 2 years since you left me but your memories are still alive in my heart which helps me to survive in this world" I cried kneeling in front of his grave.

" Do you also missing me in heaven?" I questioned.

The rain is getting heavier. It seems the rain has no mercy to stop. I sat there without bothering about the rain. I lost myself in his memories and came back to reality when my mobile is ringing.

" Come soon. I heard in the news that there will be heavy rain for three days." Dad said over the mobile.

" I want to spend some more time..." I pleaded with him.

" No..." Dad warned me.

" Okay... I am coming now" I informed in a sad tone.

Then I realized I am completely drenched in the rain. I looked at his grave once again and came out. To my bad luck, when I tried to start my bike, it is not working. I think, my bike is not working as it is rain from the morning. I stand on the road to take someone's help. But it didn't find anyone from the last one hour. Again, I get a call from my dad.

I explained the problem that my bike is not working. He told me to wait so that he come for me to pick up. I agreed with his words as I didn't find any person for help. After half an hour I noticed a bike coming towards me. I waved my hand so that he might help me. That person stopped looking at me. When I said my problem, he said he will drop me at my home. But I didn't believe his words from the way he was checking me. I covered my upper body with a duppatta.

" Don't feel shy, baby... Come with me" he gripped my wrist tightly.

I started wriggling from his hold then suddenly a car stopped in front of us. Immediately that person started his bike and left doing here at this time?" My principal madam asked me to comeeeeee out of the car.

" Madam, I came here for Roshan. It didn't notice the time....meanwhile that person tried to misbehave with me" I hugged her.

" Okay..... Come with me." She called me.

" But my bike..." I said.

She gives my bike keys to her driver and told him to get to our college. Before I sit inside the car, madam said someone to drive the car.

I informed dad that I am coming and no need to come here. She informed me me me me to sit in a passenger seat as there is luggage on the seat tracksideDue to AC inside the car, I was shivering as already drenched in the rain.

" Shall I switch off AC ?" I heard someone asked me.

I nodded my head without looking at him.

After 45 minutes, we reached our home. I thanked them and entered inside.

" I don't know why this girl always makes us worry? How many days should I bear her face daily?" Mom is yelling at dad.

" Stop your blabbering. Prepare tea and snacks for her. From the morning she didn't eat anything" dad ordered in a serious tone.

" I am not anyone's slave. If you want you can prepare for her..." She left her room.

I went to my room and take a hot bath. Then I change into clothes. After ten minutes, dad brings me tea and biscuits. I don't want to eat anything but I don't want to hurt his feelings. I am happy that my dad loves me so much and he takes care as a kid even I am twenty-four old.
