Entrance Exams are a GO!

Most of July went by in a flash, Rex and Orion did some last minute training, learning some new techniques in the process but nothing too crazy.

It was a Sunny warm July 25, the day of the exam, due to Rex's Mom's Job, he couldn't rely on her to take him to Superhuman Tech, so he just used the subway.

"Damn some villian murdered a hospital full of people and kidnapped that green guy I beat?" Rex Thought looking at his Phone.

"This could be bad, but I can't worry about it right now, besides I'm sure the Pro's can handle it easily right?" Rex thought as his train approached the station that leads directly into the pathway to Superhuman Tech.

When Rex stepped out of the train, he was greeted to a HUGE campus, different facilities, Buildings for different grade levels, dorm rooms, this place had it all. Although Rex would have to wait to explore the campus as he isn't a student.

Rex got to the gate where the entrance exams will be held.

The Gate was open to all newly graduated junior high students and if you passed, you would be a freshman and would be here til your senior years so about ages 15-18 like a normal high school.

Rex stood at the entrance like a idiot, legs shaking, heart pumping out of his chest, everything.

But after a deep breath and some slapping of his own face, he walked inside to pursue his dreams.

Rex and the Hundreds of other students who signed up were guided to a huge assembly room that looked like a theater with how big it is.

Rex took his seat and after everything settled down, a spotlight shined on a man dressed in a Tuxedo.

"Greetings ladies and gentlemen, to Superhuman Tech" The Man said in a bold demanding voice.

"My name is Mr.Williams, and I am your principle of this Illustrious academy!" Mr. Williams said.

Mr. Williams- Superhuman Tech Principle- Power: Megamind- From birth was granted extraordinary Intelligence that is said to make legends such as Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison to shame, his exact IQ is unknown.

"What we have here will be your shot into getting in the number 1 school in the Nation, let me explain the rule to your kids first" Mr. Williams said in the mic.

"Here at Superhuman Tech we already have access to all your information, which means your name, your date of birth, power details, everything!" Mr. Williams Explained.

"That last one ladies and gentleman will determine what testing center you go to!" Mr. Williams exclaimed.

"Wildvine, If you please" Mr. Williams turned to a man in a green suit with grass on it.

"With pleasure sir" Wild Vine said using his branches to hand out a single piece of paper to each person in the auditorium.

Wildvine- Superhuman Tech Faculty and Hero Rank number 20- Power: Natures Madness- Has to the ability to create and control plants anyway he pleases.

The piece of paper Rex was given was basically a whole stat sheet like it was a RPG.

"Wait what Section A?" Rex whispered.

"As you guys are probably wondering, what is the Section letter on your piece of paper, well it's quite simple really" Mr. Williams said smiling.

"Section A will hold the Offensive Powers exam, The Powers that we determined could be used for One On One combat will be in this test!" Mr. Williams exclaimed.

"Wait, ME! Offensive type power? I thought they would put me in the support class? Did they see my fight with that green guy? Do they think my power could be used to kill?" Rex thought as he looked at his hand in confusion.

"And of course, Section B will be the support course, any power that we have deemed would help to rescue citizens in danger will be taking this test!" Mr. Williams exclaimed.

"With that being said, I will escort Section B people to their test grounds, while my partner Wildvine will take Section A kids to their test ground, with that being said, make sure to try your best kids! We'll be watching" Mr Williams Exclaimed as Hundreds of kids split in two.

About 200 Kids Followed Wildvine into the Section A testing facility.

When they reached the building, inside was a huge city like structure, with forests, buildings, and a huge body of water.

"Now that we're here lemme explain the rules to you brats" Wildvine said.

"With my vine powers, I will create huge plant monsters, each of them being different size, the bigger the monsters you defeat, the better your test score will be" Wildvine explained.

"This will be a true test of might, if you can defeat a large amount of a Pros monsters, you are fit to be in this institution" Wildvine said smiling, it was clear he had high hopes for everyone participating.

"Oh I almost forgot, anyone who is deemed to injured to continue fighting will he rushed out of the test immediately, And will fail without question" Wildvine said getting serious all of a sudden.

For a few seconds their was a feeling of looming dread and broken charisma from a lot of other testers, but Rex stayed calm and by clenching his fist he was ready to go.

"Alright kids you have 10 minutes to change and find your starting places, so keep your eyes peeled" Wildvine said leaving.

A lot of the testers let out a sigh of relief.

"He expects to be calm after that remark?" One guys said.

"No way Imma fail this!" Another tester said.

The Testers scattered, some went to find a hiding spot while some went to change into a more, active outfit.

But Rex wasn't worried about that, mostly cause he was already wearing a black tank top and some sweatpants, but he also was trying to find someone, Orion.

Orion and Rex were keeping in touch during the summer and he blatantly admitted that he would be applying, no way he was in the hero course, his Abilities are way too powerful.

While Rex was walking to find his brother in arms, he walked away past someone a little more familiar.

"That's not who I think it is is it?" Rex said to himself.

"SABRINA!" Rex yelled out to her.

The beautiful long black haired girl that saved his life in a humid summer night was here.

Rex walked up to her and greeted her with a smile.

"So I guess you weren't lying when you said you would come, although it's strange that you weren't in group B" Sabrina said with her eyes closed.

"Yeah well I guess they see something in me you know" Rex said putting his hands in his pockets.

"So Sabrina I was kinda looking for someone but since I bumped into you, I was wondering…" Rex said.

"No I will not team up with you" Sabrina said crossing her arms.

"Well why not" Rex said frowning.

"Isn't it obvious, the examiners are going to be judging us on individual scores, working with you would be a waste of my time" Sabrina explained.

"Oh uh, yeah, I knew that" Rex said turning away whistling.

"You really are hopeless, you came here without a lick of research being done, are you sure you should be a hero?" Sabrina questioned.

Rex smiled like a clueless child.

"You know that brings up a interesting question" Sabrina said.

"You're quite the mystery Rex, you run headfirst into danger, you don't care about yourself" Sabrina said.

Rex smiles fades.

"Protecting the innocent, that's my priority, it doesn't matter if I die, I'm replaceable, human lives aren't" Rex says.

"Rex.." Sabrina said but instead of finishing what she had to say, the ten minutes of preparation were up.

"Alright Kids all of my plant monsters have been created and are all over this facility, you have 30 minutes to defeat as many as you can, and I got a little surprise for the last 10 minutes of the examination" Wildvine Announced to the facility.

"Ready? And BEGIN" Wildvine yelled.

All of a sudden plant monsters spawn everywhere including in front of where Sabrina and Rex were talking.

"Look out!" Rex yelled pushing Sabrina out the way and getting whipped by the plants vines.

Thankfully Rex blocked it but got sent flying back.

"Rex are you okay?" Sabrina asked.

"Don't worry about me go get your points, like you said, no reason to work together with individual scores right" Rex said.

Sabrina nodded in understanding and went into the forest area of the facility.

Rex was tasked with fighting a planet monster one on one, thankfully this was one of the small ones, some poor bastard was in the City section got tossed around like a rag doll by a bigger one.

Yeah when Wildvine meant "Vary in size" He forgot to specify that the small ones were still a good 7 Feet.

Rex punched the monster, but due to having no nerves, it did nothing and instead got thrown into a nearby rock.

Rex shrugged it off but he was mostly worried about how he was gonna demolish these guys.

"Damn it, a water gun isn't gonna work on this guy looks like I'm gonna need to use a new technique of mine." Rex said thinking out loud.

Rex took a deep breath and with his newfound connection with water, he concentrated it into one point, the palm of his hand, with this, he created a medium sized sphere of water.

The plant moster roared and rushed Rex but it was too late, Rex used this rapidly spinning sphere of water to rip a hole through the plants chest.

The plant moster then fell into a pile of leaves earning Rex some points.

"How do you like my Water Pulse ugly" Rex said.

New Move: Water Pulse- Rex uses a rapidly spinning ball of water to mow down targets

"Damn it I can't get sidetracked I need more points" Rex said running into the city.

"20 minutes left Kids, and not gonna lie, you guys are mowing down my monsters pretty damn fast, so the big surprise is gonna be raining down on you as of now in the city area so watch your back" Wildvine said.

While Rex ran into the City area, he met with Sabrina, who was easily capable of destroying groups of Plants with her shadows.

"Sabrina I thought you were in the forest!" Rex yelled while running.

"Those plants were incredibly fragile in that forest, so I ran here" Sabrina said nonchalantly as she destroyed another one.

"Cool that makes 15" Sabrina said staring at the pile of leaves.

"What the hell? 15!? I only beat one!" Rex said.

"What are you staring at me for then? Go get some points" Sabrina demanded.

"That's the thing, I came here to see if this was a good place to farm but seeing as you cleared this out, I was wrong" Rex said disappointed.

This conversation was short lived as around them there was a tornado of leaves circling around them, it was gathering all the leaves into one place but why?

Before any question could be answered, all the leaves combined into a giant Leaf Monster, which was bigger than all the Skyscrapers in the facility and was more comparable to a mountain now.

Before Rex and Sabrina could process it, the monster punched the ground, creating a huge shockwave that sent Sabrina and Rex crashing into a wall.

"D-Damn it" Rex said struggling to get up. Sabrina also struggled to get up and her arm was severely scratched up from crashing into the collateral.

"Woah Sabrina are you okay!" Rex yelled.

"I'm fine Rex, this level of pain is manageable" Sabrina said standing.

Rex and Sabrina walked out of the damage and looked up at the rampaging monster.

"Looks like now we don't have an excuse to hold back don't we Sabrina" Rex said ripping off his tank top that was basically rags from the damage.

Sabrina's Tracksuit shirt was basically trash took, so she ripped it off revealing her Sports Bra.

"Got a plan Sabrina" Rex says coating his hands in water.

"Maybe but that's if you can follow instructions" Sabrina said.

"Whatever you say I'll do it, not good at this type of stuff to be frank" Rex said smiling.

"Fine then, listen closely" Sabrina said.

There was about 15 minutes left in the test and as Rex and Sabrina discussed, The Board did too.

"This year has been absolutely phenomenal, brimming with new talent as usual" Director #1 Says.

"Indeed, the one with the most points, Orion Jr certainly is getting into his element, he's mowing down plants like nobody's business" Director #2 says.

"Ah but the tester we were most looking forward too has a measly 2 points" Director #3 Said.

"Ah that child Rex, he was the one that finished off the monster Omega Man hit away, it's sad to say, but he might fail despite his potential" Director #2 Said.

"Points don't mean everything gentlemen" A Man in a black mask says.

"I-It's you!" Director #1 says.

"ROUGHOUSER" He yelled.

"Yeah it's me, and what you said kinda pissed me off" Roughouser said.

Roughouser- Superhuman Tech Factuality and Hero Rank #2- Power: Limit Break- Ever since he was born, Roughouser's Strength, Speed and All other physical attributes are brought out to their fullest possible potential at all times, this goes perfectly with his martial arts mastery.

"Don't you think it's a little stupid to judge a child based off some jackasses pet plants" Roughouser said nonchalantly.

There was a bit of silence before Roughouser continued again.

"How about a little wager between men" Roughouser said wrapping his arm around the directors.

"If that Rex kid doesn't defeat that monster, you have full power to fire me, how does that sound" Roughouser said smiling.

"B-But you really have that much faith" Director #3 said.

"Of course I do, cause when I'm dead and gone, these will be the ones picking up the slack" Roughouser said pointing at the screen that focused on Rex and Sabrina.

"F-Fine you have a deal" Director #2 Said.

And as they watched the screen in baited breath, Rex and Sabrina have finished setting up their plan, this fight will decide if Rex Passes or Fails.
