Telling Life or Death by One Glance

Tong Wei's mother was stable. She had been recovering well. After sleeping over in the hospital, she looked much better the next day. Wang Yao went to the hospital to see her.

"You should be fine. We can ask the doctor to discharge you," Wang Yao said.

"Okay," Tong Wei's mother replied.

On his way to the doctor's office, Wang Yao saw a doctor run into the lift.

He frowned.

"What?" Tong Wei asked.

"That doctor doesn't look well," Wang Yao said.

"You mean he's sick?" Tong Wei asked.

"Possibly," Wang Yao said.

He habitually observed and listened to people around him. He noticed the doctor was short of breath. Does he have a heart condition? He was in such a hurry, probably because of one of his patients.

"He may be in danger," Wang Yao said.

"What?" Tong Wei asked with surprise. "Go and tell him."

Wang Yao happened to notice the doctor's name on his name badge. He found the doctor from the receptionist.
