What was an experiencer?
For example, the game was somehow testing its players; for a player being tested, story points were extremely hard to gain, and exchange access was shut down. Only after the player had accomplished three experience tasks could he or she be qualified to access those functions and the information about main and side tasks, and to exchange skills with his or her story points.
Therefore, audiences were sort of advanced experiencers. As a result, when facing experiencers in this story, audiences were considering themselves as more experienced. They believed that the experiencers were nothing more than ordinary people with stronger minds, and they would still be easy to deal with.
However, the main task of this time had already suggested something indirectly: if these experiencers were normal, how could main task 1 come with such a high price?
“Qiu He, take care of that older one.”
“Got it. Be careful, Zhang Lu.”
Qiu He was that stone-skinned man and Zhang Lu was the one with flames in his palms. Since Su Bai and Director Zhou were apart from each other, these two audiences had to handle them separately.
There was a reason why Su Bai and Director Zhou were so far from each other.
Of course, it was just a tacit understanding between them, but first of all, they had to live through the current danger.
Qiu He came at Director Zhou; Zhou raised his gun and pulled the trigger.
“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Constant shots had hit Qiu He’s body, but the bullets all bounced off. Qiu He just staggered a little; the physical attacks of the bullets seemed to be nothing to him.
Realizing that those bullets were indeed useless, Director Zhou tossed the gun onto the ground, pushed his palm out and hit Qiu He when he was approaching. Qiu He wasn’t pushed back at all, but Director Zhou was bounced off. Luckily, he landed well and was not very disadvantaged.
“Internal Martial Arts?” Qiu He massaged his chest. “You’ll have do better than that.”
Then he came at Director Zhou again. He was direct, confronting the tough with toughness. It was simple and crude, but effective.
Director Zhou had to dodge again and again with his swift moves. For several times, he tried to look for Qiu He’s weak points; he did find some, but due to Qiu He’s abnormal physiques, he couldn’t take advantage of those weak points as usual. They were somehow in a stalemate.
As for Su Bai, he also tried his gun first, but the flame in Zhang Lu’s hands turned into a light barrier as if it was intelligent; it blocked Su Bai’s shot and straightly came at Su Bai.
The world seemed to be a little slower when Su Bai saw it with his red eyes, and his agility was developed to the best for now, so he could avoid the flame attacks again and again. Luckily, Zhang Lu was far from an expert in controlling flames. Therefore, Su Bai was a little disadvantaged like Director Zhou, but not overwhelmed.
Of course, the key point was…
… These two audiences were not as strong as they had imagined. They were not overwhelmingly powerful, and their control and use of their power couldn’t give full play to their power.
For example, during the fight, Su Bai kept a distance of 13 or 14 meters away from Zhang Lu. Zhang Lu was fast with his flames at the beginning, planning to burn Su Bai like a roast chicken, but after the first rounds, Zhang Lu became obviously short of strength. He became more and more slow, and his flames were getting weaker and weaker. At last, Su Bai could even avoid the flame by simply turning his head around or leaning to his side.
On the other hand, Qiu He and Director Zhou’s fight had also came to a watershed point. Qiu He’s constant attacks were like a dashing beast or a falling mountain, but Director Zhou managed to escape every attack like a mud fish. Gradually, Qiu He got more and more slow, and his fists were slowing down. He was exhausted.
Su Bai looked at Zhang Lu in front of him, then Qiu He on the other side; suddenly his sight met with Director Zhou’s. Director Zhou’s eyes narrowed with strong intention to kill, while Su Bai’s eyes went all red, and he became even more gloomy than before.
Then…
… on both sides, the disadvantaged party started to strike back at the same time!
A true battle or combat was never just a simple summation of skills and strength; it would concern so much more.
Director Zhou and Su Bai were apparently very experienced in fighting and killing; they might not be the best killers, but at least they were very familiar with bloodshed.
Su Bai started to run along an S-shape path. Zhang Lu began to panic, especially after he had shot out three flames but failed to force Su Bai back; on the contrary, their distances were shortened after that, so he couldn’t help but retreat.
Su Bai was moving faster and faster; at last, he was running straight towards Zhang Lu.
The distance was almost perfect…
The time was almost there…
Everything was almost ready…
It was time to end all this!
Su Bai opened his mouth and showed his fangs; he had become extremely uncanny. The Broken Vampire Blood had offered Su Bai a physique with obvious side effects, but at the same time, it didn’t bring him the elegance of vampires; on the contrary, it brought up a hysteria that was hidden deeply but existed for real!
Zhang Lu was retreating but he was much more slower than Su Bai who was rushing toward him. Suddenly, he roared in anger; his flame raged, turned into a mass and went straightly at Su Bai.
He was very upset, confused and terrified. Everything seemed to have gone wrong!
Then, he finally smiled. He saw that Su Bai couldn’t escape this time.
However, Su Bai wasn’t trying to avoid or even thinking about avoiding.
“Bang!”
Su Bai stretched out his hands and straightened his arms. The flame hit him and exploded, but Su Bai went right through the flames as if he had gone crazy, and he was on fire all over!
I can take your flame. It’s okay, still within my tolerance.
Zhang Lu was shocked. In his pupils, Su Bai’s reflection became bigger and bigger. Next, Su Bai’s hand grabbed his palm and twisted it.
“Crack…”
His arm was turned behind his back, then Su Bai’s fangs ripped into his neck.
“Ah Ah Ah ah ah!!!!!!!!!!!”
Zhang Lu screamed in pain.
Blood was running.
Fire was burning.
When the flames died out, Zhang Lu had became a mummy on the ground. Su Bai slowly squatted with both hands against the ground. His burned skin started to fall off, and new skin as fine as an infant’s began to grow out.
On the other side, Director Zhou was also fighting back swift and violently. Qiu He had said that Director Zhou’s internal martial skill needed improvement, but what he didn’t know was that Director Zhou wasn’t an expert in internal martial arts but…
… Thai Boxing!
All of a sudden, Qiu He couldn’t even catch Director Zhou’s moves with his eyes; all he could tell was that his rival was very very close. Next, his knees were hit heavily. The attack was harsh and perfectly hit a point where it would get the best result.
“Bang!”
Qiu He kneeled. The ground under his knees caved in.
Then his head was punched!
Qiu He’s body shivered and his stone-like skin started to crack.
Director Zhou’s repeated attacks were so harsh that there was no time for him to react!
Qiu He was confused by attacks from all directions, like a lonely boat in the ocean. He had spent almost all his energy; now he could barely defend, let alone strike back.
“Boom!”
Director Zhou’s knees slammed into Qiu He’s jaw in an extreme way. Qiu He felt as if his bones were broken with cracking sounds. His stone-like skin was useless; blood ran out from his neck, and his skin broke into pieces.
After that…
… Director Zhou clamped Qiu He’s neck with his shanks and knees, twisted with his waist and strangled Qiu He until he started to shiver.
Then…
...a blade appeared in Director Zhou’s palm and slit his throat in an extremely elegant way.
“Puff……”
Blood burst out.
Director Zhou stood up and stepped backwards.
Qiu He kneeled on the ground. His head fell down heavily and lifelessly.
After that, Director Zhou turned around and looked at Su Bai who was slowly standing up.
There was still blood on Su Bai’s teeth, but he was smiling at Director Zhou.
To be precise…
… he was smiling at the blade in Director Zhou’s hand.
