8. Madara Uchiha

Meanwhile, Madara received report from White Zetsu about Kei Uchiha.

While Madara's target has been Obito from the start, he has also kept an eye on Minato and Kei.

Afterall, Izuna died due to Flying Thunder God. And Minato has surpassed Tobirama in that jutsu by a long shot. Tobirama couldn't teleport as much as Minato without depleting his chakra, and his reaction speed wasn't as good.

Minato would definitely be a hindrance to the plan. If Madara himself was executing it, Minato wouldn't be a threat.

But looking at Obito, who has been struggling to adapt to the White Zetsu implanted to him, he knows that unless Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan gets an outrageous ability, combined with Minato's girlfriend getting pregnant, Minato can single-handedly thwart all his plans if gets any knowledge about it.

That's why he had replaced Obito's corpse with a White Zetsu, and even Byakugan wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

Aside from Minato, he has been watching Kei as well.

While she wasn't as kind hearted as Obito, and was too smart to fall for his goal, her talent was undeniable.

She has been already dissatisfied with Third Hokage and his friends, so he saw an opportunity to exploit.

Sadly, she encountered Onoki, who Madara considered to be the strongest Kage after the First Ninja War. Dust Release is a nasty jutsu, but only if it hit.

Onoki has managed to take one of her arm by surprise, flying above the sky and directly shooting the Dust Release at an accurate location in the underground camp.

The Yamanaka at the camp was definitely providing him the coordinates, and keeping the fact that Onoki has arrived a secret from everyone, given that he was on active sensor duty at Hizashi was temporarily blind due to overuse of Byakugan.

Loosing a hand means loosing most of ninjutsu. She was able to use transformations and genjutsu in combination to try to escape was already impressive.

Sadly, she died.

Or so he thought.

"So she survived, but couldn't save her legs huh?"

Madara heard White Zetsu's report. If Madara himself was watching it, he would have known that she didn't escape using her normal escape techniques. And he would have come to the conclusion that she awakened Mangekyo Sharingan.

"She is now trying to create prosthetics?"

Madara frowned. Loosing limbs, especially both legs meant that a career of ninja will be over. If she had spiraled into depression, she would have been easily manipulated by offering her White Zetsu to replace her limbs.

No prosthetic will be better than a White Zetsu. And given her talent, she might actually master Wood Release.

But, since she still hasn't lost her will...

Perhaps loosing her student, Mei Uchiha which she has kept away from battlefield...

Rin and Mei huh? Both medical ninjas and 12 year old.

Madara didn't think that Obito will be able to kill Minato unless he awakened a Mangekyo Sharingan that is too powerful. He has chosen Obito precisely because he is too kind, so he will fall into greater despair and awaken stronger Mangekyo Sharingan.

Afterall, his own Mangekyo Sharingan wasn't of much use if he wasn't Madara. Even if someone had his ability, and see some seconds into future and restore his body to a few seconds in the past, he wouldn't survive Tobirama, much less Hashirama.

And Minato is stronger than Tobirama, and can't be allowed to grow stronger.

"Where is Danzo right now?"

Danzo is someone who Madara admires a lot. While Madara himself eliminated Hashirama's son a lot of strong Senju clan members during the First Ninja War, Danzo has eliminated Uzumaki, Senju, and dozens of strong ninjas from Konoha.

Even though Danzo himself isn't strong, hiding important information, leaking information, and other underhanded tactics have helped Madara a lot in his plans even though he had never even met Danzo.

Tobirama raised a great student.

White Zetsu talked with other White Zetsus, and got information about Danzo.

"He is currently heading to negotiate with Onoki. Iwa has stopped attacking Konoha and is aiming to betray the alliance with Kumo."

"Collect Danzo's chakra secretly just in case Onoki kills him. And use his persona as Danzo to infiltrate Konoha, and kill Mei in front of Kei's eyes.

If he survives, wait for him to make a move."

Afterall, Madara has a firm belief in Danzo for helping in advancing his goals. He has been moving in Ame as well recently, so he will be able to awaken Nagato's latent potential with Rinnegan.

"Prepare the three-tails. Kakashi and Rin have gone to Kiri right?"

"Yes Madara-sama!"

Madara glanced at Obito's direction, hoping that this brat wouldn't disappoint him.

A dumb pawn will be preferable than a smart one. His first choice is still Obito.
