Chapter 14: The Last Place Will Eventually Make a Comeback

"The first exam, I'm a bit nervous. I don't know if the questions will be difficult."

Hongdou thought it was a good idea and immediately stood up to announce it to the class.

Her words caused a stir in the classroom. Mu Yue was their favorite and most respected teacher.

"I believe everyone can get a good score," Mu Yue said with a smile and didn't linger, quickly heading to the class he was assigned to supervise.

Seeing how many students wanted to do well so they could keep him as their teacher made Mu Yue happy.

However, Mu Yue just thought they were worrying for nothing. Even if they switched teachers, it would be based on the entire semester or year's performance.

Besides, the practice tests he gave them were actually harder than the real exam.

When Mu Yue entered the classroom of 4th Year Class 2, he went straight to the podium and announced, "Everyone, quiet down. The exam is about to begin."

Teacher monitoring was randomly assigned, and he was supervising Class 2 today.

"Mu Yue-sensei!"

Many students in Class 2 greeted Mu Yue. He smiled and nodded at each of them.

Class 2 was one of the classes where Mu Yue taught more often, so the students were more familiar with him. Plus, with Ichikawa Yuuki as a comparison, everyone liked Mu Yue even more.

"Mu Yue-sensei is here, we'll definitely pass this time!" Might Guy said, taking a deep breath and looking very serious.

If Guy had to choose between a theoretical exam and a real battle against a regular ninja, he would definitely pick the latter.

As a good friend, she truly wanted Obito to get rid of the "last place" title.

Soon, another invigilator entered the classroom—it was Kimura Shima, a colleague who worked with Mu Yue in the same office. The exam room was supervised by two teachers.

When the bell rang, Mu Yue and Kimura Shima began distributing the test papers.

Then, both of them quietly monitored the students. Occasionally, they would chat while sitting at the podium.

"Ichikawa-sensei must be feeling bad. His bonus is probably at risk with two students in last place," Kimura Shima muttered.

"Hard to say, maybe they'll work harder and pass this time," Mu Yue smiled and shook his head.

Mu Yue was optimistic that this time Obito and Guy would surprise everyone with their performance.

"They've failed the theory exam every year for three years. If they pass this time, they should've done it earlier. The higher the level, the harder the courses get," Kimura Shima thought Mu Yue was being too optimistic.

"Fortunately, they'll graduate after this year. Otherwise…" Kimura Shima shuddered at the thought of having to teach such students.

After a brief conversation, Mu Yue continued to monitor the students.

He kind of missed teaching, but because of the exam, the whole school had a three-day break. The first day was for theory exams, the second for practicals, and the third for a final battle to determine the rank in the grade.

For Mu Yue, this three-day break meant he missed out on several ninja techniques and lost the chance to refine dozens of chakra points.

Fortunately, the "Return for Teaching" reward was still available. After the theory exam, Mu Yue gave Obito a few shuriken and exploded fifty chakra points.

"Just watch, Mu Yue-sensei! I'll use these shuriken you gave me to defeat everyone and take first place!" Obito said gratefully.

The practical exam was about to begin.
