Never Ending Goals

"Father, will Manchester City win?" Little John asked his dad.

John Spencer, a lifelong Manchester City supporter, had been a fan of the club since he was a child. Supporting City was a family tradition passed down through generations.

He bent down to look at his five-year-old son and smiled.

"Of course, son. Look, the City players are already back on the pitch," John replied to his boy.

"Look, it's Kenneth Lee! He's waving at us, Dad!" Little John pointed excitedly at Kenneth Lee.

"Yes, let's wave back to him."

Little John adored Kenneth. From the moment Kenneth Lee debuted, Little John had instantly idolized him. John Spencer also admired the young player—not just for his talent on the pitch but for his intelligence and hard work.

The whistle blew, signaling the start of the second half. John and the other City fans cheered, encouraging the Citizens.

There were no changes in the starting lineup for either City or United, and the strategies of both teams remained largely the same.

Manchester City kicked off the second half, launching into attack immediately. Kompany, receiving the ball from Yaya Toure, sent a pass to Navas.

Navas stepped back slightly, gauging where the ball would land, and controlled it with his chest. As Blind approached, Navas passed the ball to Kenneth Lee.

"Lee!"

Hearing the shout, Kenneth quickly returned the ball to Navas, who had slipped past Blind. Kenneth then observed Aguero drawing the defenders' attention and dashed into the space behind him, looking for an opening in United's defense.

Navas sent a quick low pass toward Aguero. The ball was intercepted by Smalling, who cleared it out of the penalty area.

The ball, however, fell near Zabaleta. The City right-back delivered a cross to the far post.

Silva contested the ball with Valencia on the left. The United defender managed to head it away, clearing it out for a corner kick to Manchester City.

Silva's corner kick curled toward the far post, where Yaya Toure leaped to meet it with a header. Unfortunately, his effort went wide.

John Spencer shook his head in disappointment at the missed opportunity.

The match continued at a moderate tempo, with both teams creating a few half-chances. However, no goals were scored.

Little John kept asking his father when City would score. All John could do was reassure his son and tell him to be patient.

In the 54th minute, Manchester United earned a free kick on the left flank after Navas clumsily brought down Blind.

Carrick stepped up, the ball at his feet, while United's players clustered strategically inside City's penalty area. He raised a hand, signaling his intent.

The referee's whistle pierced the air, and Carrick approached deliberately, striking the ball with precision using his left foot.

The ball curved through the air, arcing towards the far post. Smalling leapt with impeccable timing, meeting the ball with a powerful header directed towards the goal.

Joe Hart reacted like lightning, springing into action and palming the ball away from the net.

The danger wasn't over. Rooney pounced on the loose ball, weaving past two City defenders with deft footwork. He quickly swiveled and unleashed a fierce strike with his right foot.

Incredibly, Joe Hart came to City's rescue once again, diving to parry the shot with outstretched hands.

Kompany wasted no time, clearing the ball deep into midfield to relieve the relentless pressure.

"Joe Hart's a wall!" Martin Tyler exclaimed, his voice brimming with astonishment. "What a double save to keep City alive!"

Gary Neville added, "That's world-class goalkeeping. Hart just kept his team in the game!"

In the 61st minute, Clichy seized an opportunity, dispossessing Valencia with a well-timed challenge. Without hesitation, he launched the ball forward to David Silva.

Despite Fellaini closing in like a shadow, Silva expertly maneuvered through midfield, gliding past the halfway line. Spotting Kenneth Lee's movement, he released a perfectly weighted pass into the youngster's path.

Kenneth controlled the ball effortlessly with the outside of his boot. As Carrick lunged to intercept, Kenneth skillfully pulled the ball back and executed a smooth pirouette, turning 180 degrees. In one fluid motion, he sent a piercing through ball into the path of Navas.

Navas sprinted onto the pass, finding himself in acres of space. He lifted his head, scanning the box before delivering a perfectly measured cross toward Aguero.

The Argentine striker anticipated the ball, timing his run flawlessly. With a sharp touch, he fired a venomous shot towards the near post.

De Gea, ever the acrobat, hurled himself to his left in an attempt to deny the effort. But the ball was too precise, brushing past his fingertips and rippling the back of the net.

Martin Tyler cried, "AGUEROOOO! What a strike! Manchester City take the lead at Old Trafford!"

John Spencer and his son, Little John, erupted in celebration, their cheers joining the deafening roar from City's traveling supporters.

Little John jumped excitedly, pointing toward the pitch. "He did it, Dad! Kenneth's pass was amazing!"

Instead of Aguero who was scoring the goal, Little John admired Kenneth Lee's pass, that pass was the key of that goal.

John Spencer smiled proudly, soaking in the jubilant atmosphere. Meanwhile, the United faithful sat in stunned silence, watching as City's fans celebrated with unbridled joy, their chants reverberating around the stadium.

Van Gaal immediately called Rooney over and gave his instructions to the England captain.

The match resumed, and Manchester United quickly attacked with high tempo. Both full-backs surged forward in overlapping runs, while their midfielders pressed aggressively. The defensive line also pushed up, staying level with the midfield line.

Carrick and Herrera executed a one-two pass to bypass City's pressing players. Carrick then sent a pass to Blind, who was unmarked.

Blind received the ball and adjusted his position. Zabaleta closed him down, but Blind had already delivered a pass into the penalty area.

Fellaini used his height to meet the ball, heading it from the far post toward the near post. Ashley Young attempted to connect with it but missed. Kenneth Fernandinho managed to clear the ball away from the goal just in time.

The ball remained in the penalty box but was picked up by Yaya Toure. The Ivorian dribbled past the crowd and sent a long pass to Aguero.

Unfortunately, Aguero was tightly marked by Smalling and Jones. While Smalling disrupted Aguero, Phil Jones won the ball and cleared it forward.

Rooney, positioned outside the penalty area, received the clearance. Spotting the open space ahead of Juan Mata, he immediately passed the ball to him. Juan Mata sprinted forward, controlled the ball, assessed Joe Hart's position, and shot toward the far post.

The ball sailed into City's net unchallenged.
