"Noice!" Leo exclaimed excitedly as he got the Gatcha tickets, now he had ten spins for the Gatcha, the boost was another bonus as he didn't get one when he upgraded his Town Hall to level 2 but anyway he immediately put the builders to upgrade the buildings, unlike the game he didn't have any limitation to build several buildings but he didn't make them because it wasn't feasible, the resources were not enough to support a lot of buildings but as the Town Hall upgrades he will be able to upgrade the Mines and Collectors (he had eight of them) and more resources will be gathered allowing him to support the buildings.
As for Mortar and Laboratory, he would build them later after thinking of the best spots for them.
"With more buildings, I will need more space, and for that, I will have to cut the forest; I need large manpower." Leo knew he couldn't get the Barbarians to do all the labor, and the villagers were not that strong to carry the logs either, and they had other tasks to do.
"Let's see if Gatcha helps; otherwise, I will have to personally cut the forest." Leo could do that but he wasn't doing this for two reasons first he was too lazy for it first he needed to find a good solution for the 'obstacles' and second he would not receive any gems or loot for clearing obstacles due to his status as [Chief] which was logical as his task was to delegate, not to do labor.
Hoping he would get something like *[1]Feller buncher (googled it) so that he could hand it to Builders. He crossed his fingers and prayed to his father that he would get something good.
"Let's see if I still have my beginner's luck."
Immediately the Royale spun and-
3 Rare Chests (Gold), 4 Common Chests (Silver), 1 Legendary Chest (Gold-Blue), 1 Magical Chest (Purple), and a Resource Crate appeared in front of him. Without wasting, he opened the chests, hoping to get something overpowered.
-You got 2X Lumberjack, 100 Gram X Adamantite, and a Wild Legendary Card. (Legendary)
-3 Knights, 3 Giants, and an Enchanted Helmet, Armour, and Boots. (3X RARE)
- 500 Dark Elixir, Tornado (Spell), 20 Gems, Descent of Arrows (Spell) (Magical)
- 10,000 Gold, 100 Kg Steel, 10,000 Elixir. (Resource)
Leo could not contain his joy upon seeing this, especially the Legendary and Magical rewards. He ignored the Common Chests (I will show them later) as they didn't have any use now.
He went inside the newly upgraded Town Hall and took the Lumberjack cards, which projected the info about them, and Leo understood why these guys were still in the Legendary category.
Lumberjack- Distant cousin of the Barbarians due to their love for hunting (the Log) and living in extreme conditions they are way more powerful than their relatives.
The Lumberjack does not wear anything on the upper body but wears a kilt, an *[2]ushanka, and sandals.
He wields a magisteel axe. (Image in comments)
When their health is low or are in near exhaustion their skill Innate Skill: Berserker activates increase their overall strength and affect those near them, too (only allies), increasing their strength by 5%.
They also have an Extra Skill: Lumberjack, which allows them to cut wood at a very fast pace, the woodcut by them will be naturally superior to other woods.
It also gives them an advantage against Plant/Woods manipulating opponents.
Their overall strength is B- which is second only to Leo in the whole village but can still be defeated by a good strategy and "Finally I have a troop that can do other tasks too." Leo shed a fake tier as he recalled the various shortcomings of the troops he had.
"Now I need 'Giant' laborers that will carry the logs cut by these guys." Leo looked at the Giant card and said, "These will be similar to the Giants of Tensura world." He shuddered in excitement and awe as he recalled what cheat race were Giants in the anime, not to mention True Giants, who were beings on par with True Dragons, the 'Ultimate' beings of that world.
He knew there was a being similar to the True Dragons in the Dragon Cliffs, but he didn't know how powerful he was or if it was just another powerful Dragon.
Suddenly, Leo had a bad feeling, which disappeared as fast as it appeared as he looked around and shrugged, trusting the barrier made by his father.
He summoned the Lumberjacks, who calmly looked at him with respect as they greeted him, "Chief, we are ready for the service." In a Russian accent. knewnd it very annoying when authors use the ascent due to characters' origin)
Leo felt weird listening to the Russian accent but greeted them nonetheless "So, how are you feeling?" The Lumberjacks swung their axes in a cutting manner as they said in a loud voice akin to roaring, "Ready for hunting those damn wooden pieces of shits, Chief; I still remember when those bastards blocked my way, and I lost my way to home." Both of them said in unison, Leo had no idea how a tree stood in front of these guys but he ignored their behavior and said: "That is good because I am about to send you to 'hunting' (read: cutting trees) and I will send a Giant to help you carry the logs." The duo were about to roar and run to cut trees but stopped when they heard Leo continue, "Don't get carried away and clean the whole forest, okay?"
Their excited expressions turned into disappointment as they realized they would not be able to chop down the whole forest, Leo sighed in relief as he averted the disaster.
After giving them instructions about the hunt, Leo went outside to summon a Giant, praying silently that he would be able to feed the 3-meter being. The Giant was at least a B+ and intelligent. His only downfall was that it was slow, but he was still very strong, not to mention its high resistance to Magical and Physical damage, which Leo envied a lo. It can be said in terms of raw power, the Giant was stronger than Leo.
(Leo)
After delegating the tasks and ensuring that the Lumberjacks do not clean the whole forest in their hunt I decided to look around the village to see the effect of the boost.
Near the Town Hall, the heart of the village the houses of the villagers were for protection from unknown threats when the village would not have the barrier around it.
I am thinking of ways to replicate this barrier, but I am nowhere near it. The spell Void creates a similar barrier, but instead of preventing outsiders from coming in, it prevents insiders from going out.
I know there are types of barriers that prevent outsiders from coming in but they are still far from my reach, for now.
My thoughts were halted as I spotted a group of villagers chatting with each other.
"Hey, did you see Chief summoned a giant to work for him?" A redhead said in awe to the group.
As they nodded, one said, "I only heard that Giants loved destruction, but it is my first time seeing them doing labor; Leo-sama could do anything."
"Our chief is amazing; from the moment the Town Hall was upgraded, I suddenly felt that I could clean all the streets in a few hours." A villager with [Sweeper] class said excitedly.
"Hmm, now that you mention it we also were able to bake the bread faster and more than the normal days." A [Baker] villager said as her fellow workers nodded in agreement.
"It must be the blessing of the chief for our hard work." A pinkette said she was a rare villager who had a more useful class, [Doctor], and while she was not like those healers she was still good I always felt that she was obsessed with me as I could see some fanatic glint in her eyes I just hope that that they don't form some sort of weird cult.
'I am a god, a weak one, but a god nonetheless, so would I get some power up due to faith? Another thing to research.'
I couldn't help but ponder that suddenly, a secret cult *ahem* organization doesn't sound like a bad idea.
Walking further from the center Leo spotted the farm where the villagers were still working at a very fast pace, the [Farmers] were the only people in the village who could come 'close' to the fighting class due to their strength which was equal or more than Archers and were proficient in tools like kama, sai, which can be dangerous if used to harm.
I shook my head at such thoughts, a week ago I was just a 'normal' guy who couldn't think of even killing someone but now I am thinking about how to use the farmers and farming tools for killing, and that thought didn't disturb him but it felt weird how I adapted to all this may be this is due to him being a god or due to gaining powers.
'I just hope the power doesn't get in my head.' Leo thought as the busy farmers noticed him and bowed to him to show respect.
Leo waved his hand and said, "Thanks for your hard work, girls; I am sorry for making you do all the work. I would have asked the Barbarians, but-" he didn't finish his sentence as the farmers had a look of understanding knowing that Barbarians would only increase their work.
"Chief, you don't need to worry about us. We became farmers because we wanted to become one, and we don't need those nutheads to help. They are only good at swords and do not know anything else." One of the farmers said, a girl (like all farmers) with brown hair and eyes, like all the farmers she had tanned skin and was muscular but retained her feminine looks, perfectly suitable for Leo's tastes (technically all villagers suited his tastes), Leo nodded but still felt a bit guilty after all it was due to these guys that the village had abundant food.
The villagers kneww what they were doing, and this made them feel even more motivated; after 'admiring' the view, Leo ventured toward the Army Camp where his troops trained; the camp was a large field in a secluded part of the village to avoid accidents with the normal villagers during training.
The Army Camp was both a home and training area for the troops. After they came out of the Barracks; here, they could interact with each other and train in other aspects, too, for more flexibility.
There were Archers honing their skills while the Barbarians were engaged in a fierce spar; well calling it a brawl would be more accurate. Some were engaged in arm wrestling, causing the table underneath to crack, and some were lifting heavy weights that would crush a normal human with effort.
The Archers, while practicing, had a disdainful look directed toward the Barbarians as she said to a fellow pinkette, "They will bring shame to the chief if they keep acting like animals." Her partner agreed with her and replied, "What could you expect from them? They are called Barbarians for a reason."
Leo, walking towards them, interjected, "You are right. They are Barbarians; it is in their nature to cause chaos after all, but they are forced to be reckoned, whether you agree or not." And it was true, and with the enchantment on their belts, the statement could not be more true. (Their belts are enchanted with [Protection] that will prevent them from being one-shotted and grants them a high level of resistance to physical damage.)
The Archers were surprised by Leo's sudden appearance, flustered, their cold masks breaking a little as they begrudgingly agreed to their Chief, not out of respect but also because they knew it was the truth.
After that Leo inquired about one of the teams he made for hunting the wild beasts from the surrounding area, the hunting team was another source of food for the village mostly for the troops as they needed it the most, it also served as training and reducing the threat that these beasts might pose due to their once the barrier falls, the meat in the village is thanks to them and the meat of the monsters in this part of the world is tastiest when it is cooked by your [Cook] who is a certified milf.
"They will be coming anytime soon, Chief; they have gone to hunt Angry Boar that have been spotted nearby." An Archer replies.
Angry Boar is B-rank so they should be fine, Leo thought as he exited the Army Camp avoiding the Barbarians, and went near the Barracks where the Builders were working on setting up the Templates for giants, goblins, and wall breakers, "Yo, so how long till I get this Army training miracle to work again?" Unlike the game here, the Barracks don't create troops but train them; the Barracks were the reason why his Archers and Barbarians were well trained, except the ones he summoned using cards.
The Barracks is a water downed version of Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Leo can send any normal person without class and put him in training under a specific template, and after some time the person will come out as a troop, for example, if a person with the Barbarian lineage who has never trained and is weak, F-rank he will come out as a full-fledged Barbarian possessing D-rank strength and is same with other troops.
It is one of the most important buildings Leo had in the village and is protected with the highest priority along with villagers and Town Hall.
But the Barracks still have limitations like the person should be blood-related to the troops he is about to be trained as he could only attain the common level strength of lineage, D-rank in the case of Barbarians as the weakest trained Barbarian is at D-level and the troop will need to come out and train to become stronger meaning no insane power up for you, and it has limits to the numbers that can be trained at once and the time also varies depending on the troops, a Barbarian takes 10 days, 4 Archers take 20 days and 1 Giant takes a month and it will vary the more the level increases with troops not to mention the Elixir consumed for the functioning of Barracks.
But Leo knew it was worth it. After all, it takes a long time for the kingdoms to cultivate D-level individuals, which is the weakest level of his Barbarians, and he is getting them in a span of ten days, not to mention he is planning to build more of these buildings once he has resources to sustain them.
"I should probably give the villagers and the weaker troops names. Otherwise, it will become troublesome in the future," Leo says to himself, rubbing his forehead for the upcoming headache.
