As soon as the news of the waiter's death reached Xander's ears, he shut his eyes and turned his back to Liam.
"We were a step behind. She has gotten rid of him."
Liam's brows furrowed. "How come this woman has this much influence to kill someone in the police custody?"
"This is a sign that we shouldn't underestimate her and the people around her," Xander said, turning to face him. Letting out a sigh, he added, "My wife is not going to take this news easy."
The least Aurora was expecting was for justice to be served to her father's murderer, so hearing anything aside from that would hurt her.
