Chapter 124: Cooperation

**

Link said, "He's dead!"

"I killed him with my own hands and blew up his entire base along with him."

T'Challa was taken aback for a moment, then sat down. "He died so easily?"

"We've tried to capture him many times, but he always escaped."

Stark smirked and quipped, "Maybe if you swapped out those spears for guns, you wouldn't have let him slip away."

The surrounding guards shot piercing glares at Stark, but he remained unfazed.

Link interjected, "The reason we're here is to discuss a potential collaboration. We greatly admire your holographic barrier technology and would like to integrate it into our space headquarters and the Avengers' ship."

"The Avengers will not involve themselves in Earth's political affairs. We are formed solely to protect the planet."

"I'm sure Wakanda is aware by now that we're not alone in the universe. But with that comes great danger."

"I've been out in space—though briefly—and I've seen many things. I've learned a lot about the universe."

"There are many threats out there, and Earth's defenses are a top priority."

T'Chaka didn't answer immediately, pondering the issue carefully. After all, what they were asking for would require Wakanda to provide technology and vibranium.

T'Challa, on the other hand, asked, "You're just here to demand things from us?"

"Not at all!" Link replied. "We also extend a friendly invitation for Wakandans to join the Avengers, as individuals, to help protect Earth together."

"The Avengers are not a dictatorship. We operate based on votes from our key members."

"You might still be thinking of the Battle of New York as the only major threat, but that was just a test."

"The one behind the Chitauri is called Thanos, known in the universe as the Mad Titan. He commands an enormous fleet and often invades developed planets, killing half of their intelligent life."

"No matter their status—rich or poor—he kills half of the population randomly. His reasoning? To 'save' resources from being overexploited."

"His ultimate goal is to eliminate half of all intelligent life in the universe."

"Hiss—" Father and son both gasped. Killing half of a planet's population?

"Has no one tried to stop him?" T'Chaka asked, frowning.

Link shook his head and said, "None of the major interstellar civilizations have intervened because they don't feel directly threatened, and it hasn't reached their doorstep yet."

"We don't know the full extent of the situation, and Thanos hasn't targeted any of the more militarily powerful civilizations."

"He's not foolish. That attack was just a test. If he really wanted to invade Earth, he'd bring his fleet directly. We all know the limitations of the space portal."

T'Chaka nodded slightly, acknowledging the logic. The Avengers seemed to know things Wakanda didn't, and that alone made them worthy of some consideration.

He turned to look at his son before addressing Link. "You're asking for both technology and vibranium?"

Link nodded. "Yes, we're planning to use nuclear fusion technology to power the space station, and we'll need vibranium to protect it."

"Additionally, we hope to use vibranium in the suits of the main Avengers members. Of course, we can offer some of our own technology in exchange, like nanotechnology."

"I believe that's something Wakanda could benefit from."

T'Chaka raised an eyebrow, asking, "You know us well?"

"I've learned a bit, Black Panther," Link replied. "While investigating rare metal materials, I came across Ulysses Klaue, using S.H.I.E.L.D.'s resources."

"I discovered that he had quite a bit of vibranium, so naturally, I had to dig deeper."

T'Chaka was now convinced. They had indeed captured Ulysses Klaue and, from the sound of it, really had killed him.

"Alright, we understand your requests, but Wakanda is not a kingdom where the king has absolute power. We will need to discuss this further," T'Chaka said.

Link understood and agreed to stay in Wakanda for a day, hoping for a positive response.

...

T'Chaka immediately summoned the leaders of Wakanda's major tribes and briefed them on the situation, especially the potential threat from space.

The tribal leaders had to seriously consider the gravity of this threat. If it was real, Earth would indeed be in grave danger. Killing half of the population? This Thanos was clearly a madman.

While they prized their traditions and individual strength, the thought of slaughtering billions was unfathomable to them.

Yet, this Thanos had been doing it consistently. It was hard to believe. What kind of universe was out there?

T'Chaka said, "My recommendation is to meet their requests and send representatives to join the Avengers. This will give us invaluable insight into the universe."

"That alone makes it worth the investment. Besides, they're willing to share advanced technology with us, like nanotechnology. We're not exactly getting the short end of the stick here, are we?"

The leaders all nodded in agreement. The universe was a mystery, even to Wakanda with all its advanced technology. They had never ventured out into space.

And now that they were no longer able to keep their development a secret, it made sense to seek out what they didn't have—the mysteries of the universe.

Both sides reached a quick understanding, and that evening, King T'Chaka hosted a banquet for the two Avengers, treating them as honored guests.

The next morning, the king took them to tour the vibranium mines and the laboratory run by his sister, Princess Shuri. Stark got along very well with the princess, both being geniuses, and they quickly found common ground.

Meanwhile, Link spoke with T'Challa. As Link had anticipated, T'Challa would be the one to join the Avengers, inheriting the mantle of Black Panther.

This time, Wakanda wouldn't have just one Black Panther. Although it broke tradition, all the tribal leaders had agreed. After all, T'Challa was joining the Avengers.

Without the powers of the Black Panther, what would he even do there?

He'd just be a bystander.

Additionally, T'Challa would be stationed in space for an extended period, and his sister was eager to conduct experiments there.

Space experiments were crucial but difficult to carry out, and the environment was irreplaceable for such work. This was vital for venturing into the universe.

How could they ensure success without extensive testing?

The two sides exchanged technology and parted on good terms, paving the way for future cooperation. The next step would be preparing the vibranium.

Link returned, ready to begin constructing the fusion reactor and protective systems. Stark would design the core module and energy output devices. A series of manufacturing tasks were about to commence.
