Chapter 9: Conquering the Elekid

After seeing Gary's Umbreon's strength, the Elekid no longer looked down on it but stared at Umbreon with solemn eyes.

Umbreon did not receive Gary's order, so it did not make an attacking gesture but just looked at Elekid leisurely.

After staring at Umbreon for a while, Elekid could not wait any longer and was the first to launch an attack.

A thunderbolt, thicker than before, flashed from Elekid and rushed towards Umbreon.

"It's Thunderbolt. Umbreon, use Shadow Ball!" Gary ordered after seeing the opponent's attack.

A purple-black energy gathered in front of Umbreon's mouth in an instant, forming a purple-black energy ball, which was then thrown towards the incoming Thunderbolt.

"Quite smart!" Gary admired the sudden action of Elekid and smiled.

"But this is useless to us," Gary said, then straightened his face and gently called to Umbreon: "Umbreon, use Psychic!"

As Umbreon's eyes glowed with fluorescence, Elekid, which was still in the charging stage, was immediately shrouded by a faint blue light. Its body was unable to move and was gradually forced to leave the ground.

There was no doubt that Elekid was controlled by Umbreon's Psychic.

"Throw it out!" Gary ordered.

Elekid, which was originally controlled in the air, was immediately thrown out by Umbreon, stopping only after hitting a tree trunk behind it.

Although Elekid was hit by Umbreon one after another, it still did not give up and tried to get up from the ground.

Despite being covered with scars, it still used a firm look and stared at Gary and Umbreon, unconvinced.

"Tenacious will!" Gary was surprised by the willpower of Elekid and couldn't help but applaud. "I am more determined to capture you!"

Gary then put away his relaxed expression and showed a serious one, commanding Umbreon.

"In order to give our opponent the greatest respect, use all your strength. Use Dark Pulse!"

At Gary's command, the huge dark power quickly gathered in Umbreon's mouth, forming a thick purple-black beam that rushed towards Elekid with endless power.

A thunder, even thicker than before, met Umbreon's Dark Pulse.

After Elekid was knocked down, Gary did not rush to take out a Poké Ball to capture it. Instead, he walked to the side of Elekid after recalling Umbreon.

Gary squatted down, put his hand on Elekid, and used the power of Viridian Forest to heal its wounds.
