Huo Zhihao didn't know for how long they had been stuck in there, but it was long enough to believe that they needed to rescue themselves, or else they would succumb to death there.

"Mother, they won't rescue us!" That's what he believed deep down in his heart. He knew his father was more fond of his sisters than he and his Mother; he didn't care about that, but why wouldn't they find them after so long? He couldn't understand it and he didn't want to listen to any reasons they had.

Could they be intentionally doing this? Was his father finally abandoning his mother with him? He had every thought that they might be at the end of the rope.
