The next day, Briar woke up feeling refreshed.

She squinted her eyes satisfactorily as she looked at the man who was sleeping by her side.

It was still early and Logan was still asleep, giving her some time to look at him longingly before she started her morning chores.

After attending the banquet and seeing the importance that her mother-in-law put on her, she was determined to continue being a good daughter-in-law.

Although it was very nice being lazy all this time, she had thought hard about it last night. She couldn't dare be relaxed. For someone like her who hasn't made any great achievements as far as she was concerned, being diligent might keep on raising the affection the family has for her.
