The magic Rest unleashed shot forward with force, striking a monster several hundred meters away. The monster, about five hundred meters away, was shot in the head and collapsed to the ground, dead.

Normally, this magic wouldn't have such power or range.

However, Rest used compression magic to make the stone even harder, shaping it into a slender, conical form. By then accelerating it with additional magic, he extracted power and range far beyond its usual capabilities.
