Ch 20: Burn it all

"Shit! What was that? What happened? Where is Venissa? Is she still in the kitchen?"

The explosion was loud enough to knock Lisa off her chair. The sudden impact of her body colliding with the ground hurt, but luckily, it was not her hurt side that collided with the ground.

"Lisa, run toward the outside while I go and get Venissa. This must have been someone's trick to get rid of your mother while the boss looks away."

Her mother's suitor had blind faith in her mother. Lisa was surprised this man was willing to brave fire to get her mother out.

Lisa quickly ran toward the door, and the man broke the kitchen door open before dragging Venissa out before a second explosion could hit the building.

It shook their house and ended up taking out the house behind theirs.

As far as Lisa knew, no one lived in that complex yet, so luck prevented anyone from getting hurt.
