The next ten minutes of the practice match were utter chaos. The Birmingham City under-sixteens, who thought they wouldn't take advantage of the rules, were now fouling players all around. The most frequent offense came from the biggest of them all, crashing into various players, muttering the word "sorry" as he stood up.
After getting battered a couple of times, Alexis gave up on trying to get a foul. He could only swallow all his complaints and continue the match. It wasn't like complaining was going to do him any good.
The worst part of the entire affair was that the under-sixteens weren't even trying to get the ball; it was like they were using the Charles Patterson players as a way to vent all the anger and frustrations they must've felt in the past few days.
