Fortunately, Lin Feng still had some offline games on his phone. He opened Tetris and happily immersed himself in gameplay.
As night fell, Eula returned to the room. Unaware of her presence, Lin Feng remained fully engrossed in his game.
Curious about Lin Feng's fingers tapping rapidly on a colorful screen, Eula approached from behind him.
"Damn it, Second Master! Can't you be less aggressive? Why can't we just slow down?" Lin Feng exclaimed loudly, watching as his row of plants dwindled rapidly. With no choice, he painfully planted a Cherry Bomb.
Eula, captivated by this novel sight, leaned closer to the screen, intrigued.
"Ah, such is the solitude of being a master!" Lin Feng sighed dramatically.
Finally, as the victory screen appeared, Lin Feng felt a sense of accomplishment, completely disregarding the fact that he lost all five garden carts.
Eula gradually grasped the rules, her excitement lingering long after observing the vibrant patterns on the screen.
Only after completing the level did Lin Feng's focus shift, suddenly becoming aware of breathing near him. Panic set in—could it be Second Master, enraged, emerging from the screen for revenge?
Lin Feng swiftly turned around, accidentally pressing his lips against Eula's face. Before he could savor the soft sensation, she punched him hard in the stomach.
"Hmph, I'll remember this grudge!" Eula coldly muttered as she swiftly turned away. In that instant, a blush rapidly spread across her face.
Lin Feng, still clutching his stomach and crouching on the ground, thought to himself, That was quite harsh! Little did he know, Eula had actually held back; if it were a Hilichurl, there would've been a hole punched through its gut.
As Lin Feng looked at his phone, it dawned on him that Eula must have been curiously peeking over his shoulder just moments ago.
During dinner time, Eula sat alone at the table, completely ignoring Lin Feng.
Lin Feng decided not to pretend anymore and casually joined her with a grin. Unsurprisingly, Eula remained unfazed; if she couldn't detect such subtleties, she'd be unfit for service in the Knights of Favonius.
"Eula, check this out." Smiling, Lin Feng handed her the phone, playing the instrumental track from Eula's Sacrificial Dance.
Eula slowly closed her eyes, her hands involuntarily swaying slightly. However, the music abruptly stopped. Taken aback, Lin Feng checked his phone only to find it dead - completely out of battery!
Feeling utterly helpless, Lin Feng refrained from further complaints about this crappy device. What a missed opportunity to witness Eula's graceful dance! It was truly unfortunate.
Eula opened her eyes, a chilling gaze emanating from them. The Sacrificial Dance was not meant for just anyone to see. Thankfully, she hadn't fully performed it; otherwise...
Lin Feng chuckled awkwardly, "Ahem, that phone ran out of battery. Let me find another one!"
"System, give me another damn phone!" Lin Feng mentally communicated with the system.
"Ding! Considering the host's attitude, future phones will cost 1000 Mora each!" The robotic voice responded, and instantly, a pink smartphone appeared in Lin Feng's hand.
"Heh, I'm not paying for it - what can you do about it?!" Without waiting for the system to play any tricks, Lin Feng withdrew his thoughts from his mind.
Eula eyed the pink phone in Lin Feng's hand with a peculiar expression.
"Cough, cough, consider this a gift for you. Do you like it?" Lin Feng quickly improvised, silently praising himself for his quick thinking.
Although hesitant, Eula remembered the device's dual functionalities and eventually accepted it.
As soon as she took the phone, Lin Feng eagerly leaned in and said, "Let me show you how to use it!"
"This icon represents the Kamera feature; go ahead and tap on it!" Lin Feng pointed at the screen behind Eula, guiding her to touch it gently.
Eula, somewhat wary, considered the possibility of hidden traps but cautiously poked the screen before swiftly retracting her hand.
"Don't be afraid, there's no danger!" Seeing Eula's cautious demeanor, Lin Feng had to suppress a laugh and reassured her kindly.
Eula observed the clear image of the table on the screen and then glanced at the actual table beside it. They were practically identical, even showing minute details like wood grain.
Her face filled with astonishment; realizing the potential for espionage with this device was immense!
"Look, by slowly spreading two fingers apart on the screen, you can zoom in!" Lin Feng demonstrated with a smile before letting Eula try it herself.
As she experimented, Eula discovered that indeed, she could magnify objects better than her own eyesight.
"And it can take selfies! Let's snap one together!" With a tap on the screen, their images appeared within it.
"Smile, it looks much nicer that way!" Lin Feng moved closer to Eula, beaming brightly.
Seeing Lin Feng's cheerful expression, Eula couldn't help but gently curve her lips upwards as well, resembling nothing short of a celestial maiden descending from heaven, breathtakingly beautiful!
Lin Feng swiftly pressed the capture button, preserving the moment. Suddenly, he had an idea and changed the phone's wallpaper to this photo.
Eula seemed slightly displeased, but without knowing how to operate the device herself, she reluctantly let Lin Feng have his way.
"This is the notes app, where you can jot down any grudges or reminders..."
After much effort, Lin Feng finally managed to teach Eula some basic phone functions. Naturally, he left the more advanced features for her to discover on her own.
By the time they finished their smartphone exploration, the food had grown cold, devoid of any warmth.
Lin Feng's stomach grumbled loudly, and without hesitation, he started eating despite the food being chilled.
Eula's gaze shifted from the phone screen to Lin Feng, gently placing the device down. "Stop eating; I'll reheat it!"
With that, she took the bowl from Lin Feng's hands and placed the food back in the pot to warm up. Watching Eula's bustling figure, Lin Feng couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness.
After dinner, they faced a dilemma. There was only one bed—whom should sleep there?
Eula looked at Lin Feng, who quickly said, "Don't make me leave, just give me a blanket, I can sleep on the floor!"
Eula nodded, tossing two blankets towards Lin Feng. She then picked up her clothes and headed towards the bathroom.
"Don't peek!" Eula warned Lin Feng before closing the door, even placing her large sword inside as a precaution!
"Where's the trust? What happened to human-to-human trust? And you're guarding against a blind person!" Of course, these thoughts remained confined to Lin Feng's mind.
"Ha! All bark and no bite, you coward!" The system chimed in with its timely mockery.
Lin Feng ignored it, his eyes fixed intently on the bathroom door, hoping against hope that Eula hadn't brought towels or clothes with her. Then perhaps she'd sweetly call for him to bring them over, and he could...
Of course, such scenarios were highly unlikely with someone like Eula, Captain of the Reconnaissance Company.
"Splash..."
As Lin Feng listened to the sound of water from the bathroom, he couldn't help feeling somewhat tormented. With no other choice, he resorted to mentally sparring with the system to distract himself through language artistry exercises.
