Chapter 1: A Chance Beyond Death

Mark was an ordinary 25-year-old office employee. His life was a routine blend of work, home, and the occasional weekend hangout with friends. He spent most of his days in front of a computer screen, typing away at spreadsheets and reports, and his nights were often spent reading fanfiction or binge-watching his favorite shows. The Marvel Cinematic Universe had always been a favorite of his—an escape into a world where ordinary people could become heroes.

That night had been no different. He left the office late, the glow of his monitor still burned into his retinas as he walked home. The streets were mostly empty, the city settling into the quiet hours. Mark's mind wandered to the latest fanfic he'd been reading, his thoughts consumed by the idea of living in a world filled with superheroes.

But then, out of nowhere, his life took a sharp turn—literally. As he crossed the street, headlights suddenly blinded him, and the screech of tires filled the air. Mark barely had time to process what was happening before he was struck by a truck that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. The impact was swift and brutal, and everything went black.

----

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself sitting in a dimly lit space that seemed to exist outside of reality. Confusion gripped him as he took in his surroundings. The room—or whatever it was—seemed to have no walls or ceiling, just an endless void that stretched in every direction.

Across from him sat a figure who looked almost human but radiated an aura that sent a shiver down Mark's spine. The being had an otherworldly presence, his eyes glowing faintly, and the air around him seemed to hum with an energy that Mark couldn't quite comprehend.

"..."

Mark blinked, trying to make sense of the situation. "Where… where am I? And who are you?"

The figure sighed, leaning back in his chair as if he had been through this conversation countless times before. "You can call me ROB. It stands for Random Omnipotent Being, I guess that clears much up for you."

"..."

"So," Mark began cautiously, trying to make sense of the situation, "I died from truck-kun, huh? And now I get a reincarnation chance?"

The being—ROB, as he introduced himself—sighed, his expression a mix of amusement and annoyance. "Yes, yes, truck-kun, isekai, reincarnation—fanfics have really taken all the fun out of this. There's no more mystery or surprise. Everyone already knows the drill."

Mark couldn't help but grin, despite the surreal nature of the situation. "Sorry, but I can't help it. It's kind of a dream come true, in a twisted way."

ROB leaned back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest. "Well, since you're already aware of the situation, let me make something clear. I'm not doing this out of kindness or because you were special. In fact, you're not special at all, Mark."

Mark's grin faltered. "Then why me? Why am I here?"

ROB's eyes gleamed with a knowing look. "Higher-dimensional beings like myself, we enjoy a bit of entertainment now and then. Some of us send people to other worlds to defeat demon kings, others to cause chaos, and some, like me, just want to see what happens when a random soul is thrown into a new world with powers beyond their wildest dreams. You, Mark, were chosen randomly. Nothing more, nothing less."

Mark stared at ROB, processing the information. "So… I was supposed to die?"

ROB nodded. "Exactly. You were meant to meet your end, but I pulled you out of the line. Think of it as a cosmic lottery. You won by chance."

Mark took a deep breath, trying to come to terms with his sudden shift in fate. "I guess... that makes sense in a weird, cosmic way. So, what now?"

ROB snapped his fingers, and two boxes appeared on the table. One was a pristine white, glowing softly, while the other was a deep, mysterious black, pulsing with energy.

"These," ROB began, "are your tickets to your new life. The white box will decide the universe you'll be sent to. The black box will determine your powers."

Mark's heart pounded in his chest. This was the moment that would shape his entire future. Without hesitation, he reached for the white box, lifting the lid. From Inside he grabbed a single card, glowing with an ethereal light. He picked it up, holding his breath as he read the text.

"MCU AU," Mark murmured, eyes wide with a mix of excitement and trepidation. "Marvel Cinematic Universe... alternate universe?"

ROB smirked. "Yes, a world similar to the MCU you know, but with some differences. You might encounter familiar faces, but don't expect everything to go as you remember from the movies."

Mark swallowed hard, the gravity of the situation beginning to sink in. The MCU was a world filled with gods, monsters, and heroes—each capable of incredible feats, but also fraught with danger.

Steeling himself, Mark turned to the black box. His fingers trembled slightly as he reached in and pulled out a card. He flipped it over, and his breath caught in his throat as he read the text.

"Combined powers of Wolverine and the Alpha Werewolf," he whispered, eyes widening. "All abilities boosted a hundredfold."

Mark could hardly believe his eyes. Wolverine's regenerative abilities, enhanced senses, and indestructible claws were already legendary. Combined with the ferocity, strength, and supernatural power of an Alpha Werewolf—multiplied by a hundred—it was more power than he had ever dreamed of.

A wide grin spread across Mark's face. "This… this is incredible. Thank you."

ROB leaned forward, his expression unreadable. "Don't thank me yet, Mark. You've been given a great deal of power, So you better entertain me. The world you're heading into is no playground. Use your gifts wisely, so you won't die."

Mark nodded, "I will. I've read enough stories to know what to avoid, and I know how to make the most of this opportunity."

ROB stood, extending a hand. "Then it's time for you to go. Your new life awaits. Remember, Mark, the journey is what you make of it."

With a final nod, Mark shook ROB's hand, feeling a surge of energy course through him. A blinding light enveloped him, and the strange space he had been in faded away.

----

Mark awoke to the sounds of birds chirping and the rustling of leaves. He blinked his eyes open, finding himself lying on the forest floor. The air was fresh and cool, filled with the scent of pine and earth. Sunlight filtered through the dense canopy above, casting dappled shadows on the ground.

He pushed himself up, taking in his surroundings. The forest was vast and ancient, with towering trees that seemed to stretch endlessly into the sky. The ground was covered in a thick layer of moss and fallen leaves, muffling his footsteps as he stood.

Mark flexed his fingers, feeling the raw power coursing through his veins. His senses were sharper than ever before. He could hear the distant trickle of a stream, the heartbeat of a deer hidden in the underbrush, and the rustle of leaves as a squirrel scampered up a nearby tree. His sense of smell was equally heightened, picking up the scent of damp earth, wildflowers, and the faint, lingering aroma of some kind of animal.

As he took a deep breath, he could feel the strength in his muscles, the primal energy of the Alpha Werewolf ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice. His bones felt unbreakable, his skin tougher than any material he had ever known.

Mark smiled, his earlier nervousness fading away. He had been given a second chance, a new life filled with endless possibilities. He was no longer just Mark, an ordinary guy who loved reading fanfiction. He was now a being of incredible power, destined to make his mark on the MCU.

As he began to walk through the forest, Mark couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration. The world was wide open to him, full of challenges, dangers, and adventures. He was ready for whatever came next, ready to carve out his own path and become something more than he had ever imagined.

Realizing that he needed to find his bearings, Mark decided to leave the forest. He started walking in what he hoped was the direction towards civilization.

As he navigated through the dense woods, he couldn't help but marvel at the sensations he experienced. Each sound and smell was sharper, more vivid than he had ever known. His enhanced senses allowed him to avoid obstacles with ease, and he felt an instinctual connection to his surroundings, guiding him forward to the direction he wants to go.

The journey of the Alpha in the MCU had just begun.
