The planet of Dromund Kaas is an old Sith world. A planet saturated in the dark side. Korriban is still darker, but Dromund Kaas is no joke. The planet has been labeled as off-limits by the Republic. Even those outside of the Republic and the underworld do not dare trespass onto the world.
The planet is a hellish swamp with layers of ancient dead beneath the mud. Ferocious creatures roam everywhere and nature is wild with violence. There are many places in the planet that will drive even well-trained Force users insane. Let alone normal people. Without the Sith of old to attend to the world, the Dark energies have gone wild.
Yaddle had given me a tracker that would lead me to the two lost Jedi Knights.
Marka Ragnos already warned me about the place along with Kaljaren. That horrors have been born on the planet, and multiplied.
I took them to heart, but what could be worse than Dark Side Xenomorphs?
I did not take the planet lightly. I had brought one of the retro-fitted dreadnaughts of the Katana fleet along with me. Well, I ordered the android manning it to meet me at Dromund Kaas. The cruiser came outfitted with the plasma "drill"/laser. Along with many other Yautja weaponry.
If I needed an orbital strike, I won't hesitate. The Old Sith were strong, mythically strong. As is the planet I am going too.
It was time to descend to the surface. I went down in the Upgrade ship I was already using since Naboo. The tracker led me right into the area of the fallen Kaas City. Looking at the old spaceport, there was still room for my ship. I also spotted a Republic transport ship, that Jedi often use. No guns on it or anything. I also saw another ship, a smaller ship with some guns on it, but not a fighter. Looked to be a hybrid class.
I landed in the empty spot. I had already felt the Dark Side influence rising as soon as I entered the atmosphere. Now that I've landed, it is even worse.
I exit my ship and bring up the tracker.
"Hmm, it is pointing in the direction of Kaas City...", I say to myself.
Within Kaas City lies the Dark Temple of the Old Sith Empire. If that former Jedi had come here. The temple would be the only reason I can think of.
I make my way to Kaas City. As normal, I'm cloaked and not traveling on the ground when possible. Luckily, there are a lot of trees around. I did have to go through the swamp. There were mutated creatures throughout that I passed by. Gundarks, Vine Cats, Sleen, Mailoc, Jurgoran, etc. However, they all had unnatural mutations that made them look twisted.
I was not lax in my observations though. On the way, I saw remnants of lightsaber combat, fresh enough. Marks in trees, rocks, and such. I even retrieved some pieces of cloth. No doubt belonging to a standard Jedi robe.
Now I stood before the entrance of Kaas City. The darkness was thick in the air. Not as thick when I faced the Dark Serpents, but thick enough to corrode the mind of a Jedi Knight.
Now that I've entered the city, the tracker did not work anymore. It started to malfunction.
I sigh, "Well, time for the classic approach."
I sent a signal to the Katana Cruiser to send down some of my pets. The newest generation of Hellhound. I've lost track of how many generations I've created by now. This one was made with the thought of Dark Serpents in mind. Previous generations would have their confused or become enraged if I brought them here. However, this new generation was made to have mind that cannot be broken so easily.
Drops pods descended on my location. The Hellhounds rushed out once they opened. Armored, agile, Force hunting, and now their crown of horns doubles as a mental defense. They power a Force shield around their heads to resist mental influence. The Force imbued horns also make them more deadly of course. This generation is undoubtedly the strongest I've bred.
I beckoned them all over and held the robe cloths to them. They gave it a sniff and then set off in a blur. They have orders to just find them, not kill them.
Kaas City, being a huge place, meant it would take a while. So I decided to meditate atop of a nearby building. Such a place saturated in the Dark Side is a good place to meditate about the Dark Side.
As I mentioned with Master Yaddle, even the Dark Side has a flow to it. It is just erratic and unpredictable. Which is why the Sith simply forced it. The real way to use the Dark Side, was simple, yet not obvious. The Jedi direct the flow or go along with the Flow of the Force. I, entice the Dark Side. To use it without worry, you need to make it want to work for you. Which means I need to understand what the Dark Side is all about. It is about change, and giving meaning to life. Through providing death, change and emotion. I just need to act in a way that fulfills those core principles without excess. To use the Dark Side safely, means to understand and then become the avatar of such principles. The greater your understanding, the greater the power you can call upon.
Then all I have to do is become death, change, and emotion; and the Dark Side will fall in love with me. Eager to do my will.
Something most Sith never understood, therefore being corroded and corrupted.
After 5 hours of meditation, I finally heard the howls of the Hellhounds. They found the Jedi Knights.
