Chapter 42 : Mr. 2!!

Domino stared blankly at Buggy's back, her mind in a state of confusion. She felt that what Buggy had said made sense. 

The same situation can yield completely different outcomes when roles are reversed!

Is it us who are in the wrong? 

Wait, why should I switch sides?

Suddenly, Domino realized something was off. She had almost been misled by Buggy!

There was no reason for her to change her stance!

The confusion in Domino's eyes was replaced by renewed hostility as she quickly followed Buggy.

Buggy noticed the change in Domino's mood, and with a dismissive smile, he put the matter aside. 

There was still plenty of time ahead!

Blood, weapons, and corpses… the ground floor passage was littered with signs of battle!

Although Magellan had previously concentrated most of the jailers on the fourth underground floor of Impel Down, he still left a small contingent on each floor for basic operations. 

However, this minimal force was clearly insufficient to stop Ivankov and his crew!

Buggy followed the trail of the battle all the way to the control room without encountering any resistance, and Ivankov and his men had successfully taken over the control room!

Ivankov's eyes brightened upon seeing Buggy. He said, "Buggy, you got here quickly! Is the situation below under control? How's the Straw Hat Boy?"

"Yes, Domino, the Head Jailer of Impel Down!" 

Ivankov was startled when he saw Domino following Buggy and immediately assumed a defensive stance.

"Don't be alarmed, she's one of us now! I came up by elevator; Luffy and the others are probably on the second underground floor by now." Buggy shrugged and explained, then asked, "Can you contact Inazuma and the others now?"

"Of course, just use this Den Den Mushi!" Ivankov said, pulling a Den Den Mushi from his pocket and handing it to Buggy.

Buggy took the Den Den Mushi and quickly dialed Inazuma's number.

"Hey, this is Inazuma."

"Inazuma, it's Buggy. Where are you guys right now?"

Once the Den Den Mushi was connected, Buggy went straight to the point.

Inazuma replied, "We're on the second underground floor! The situation here is a bit tricky because the guards are all wild beasts, and they haven't been gathered on the fourth underground floor. So, the guarding force here remains strong! It'll take us some time to break through!"

Buggy smiled and said, "Don't worry. Have you released all the prisoners on the third underground floor?"

Inazuma confirmed, "Yes, they've all been released!"

Buggy continued, "Is there Mr. 2 among those prisoners? He used to work with Mr. 3?"

Hearing this, Inazuma glanced at a new prisoner nearby, who was wildly performing ballet, and said, "He's right here!"

Buggy smiled and said, "Great. Have Mr. 3 handle the prisoners. Take Mr. 2 to the elevator and bring him to the main gate on the ground floor! If he resists, just tell him he needs to see Ivankov!"

"Got it!"

Without further questions, Inazuma accepted the order and hung up the Den Den Mushi.

Buggy sighed with relief. It was so reassuring to have a subordinate like Inazuma!

He returned the Den Den Mushi to Ivankov and said, "Alright, leave a few people here to guard the area. The rest of us will head to the gate first!"

After a brief pause, Buggy added, "By the way, remember to leave them a Den Den Mushi so they can stay in touch anytime!"

Ivankov nodded, selected a few new recruits to remain in the control room, and followed Buggy towards the main gate of Impel Down.

When they reached the gate, Inazuma and the others hadn't arrived yet, so Buggy set Magellan, whom he had been carrying, aside.

Buggy turned to Domino and said, "Go ahead and take off Magellan's coat."

Domino was taken aback by this request. She glared at Buggy and demanded, "What are you planning? You promised you wouldn't do anything to Warden Magellan's body!"

"I just need his clothes!" Buggy explained, pointing to several of Ivankov's new recruits. "If you don't want to do it, then I'll have to let them handle it!"

"No! I'll do it myself!" Domino relented immediately. She would never allow Magellan's body to be handled by a group of prisoners.

What Domino didn't realize was that once someone compromises once, it becomes easier to do it again, and soon, it becomes a pattern.

She was treading further down this path!

Buggy smiled and shook his head, watching Domino carefully remove Magellan's clothes without saying another word.

"Buggy boy, is this your plan? To have someone impersonate Magellan and lure those warships here?"

Ivankov, who had been observing quietly, pondered for a moment before speaking up. The prison escape plan Buggy had previously outlined was missing the most critical element—how to actually escape the sea area!

Now that Buggy had brought Magellan's body and asked Domino to remove his clothes, Ivankov had a sudden realization. This might be the solution they needed.

Domino, who was in the process of undressing Magellan, paused and glanced at Buggy with a frown.

Buggy, noticing the tension, smiled and shook his head. "Of course not. This is merely an option for the elderly, weak, and disabled. We have other ways to get out of here!"

Ivankov fell silent, contemplating what other methods Buggy might be referring to.

Domino was conflicted, unsure whether she should continue removing Magellan's clothes. If this was Buggy's only way to leave Impel Down, there might still be a chance for a comeback!

If she exposed Buggy's deception and kept the warships away, Buggy and his crew would be trapped in Impel Down, awaiting the Navy Headquarters' retribution.

Buggy, sensing Domino's hesitation, addressed her directly. "Bullet is the user of the Paramecia Clank Clank Fruit! With his powers and the resources available here, he can build a large ship in no time at all!"

"It doesn't matter if the warships come or not!"

Domino shuddered at this revelation and bowed her head in defeat.

Opportunities are indeed rare and fleeting.

"I understand now!" Ivankov exclaimed, slapping his thigh in excitement. "So it's the power of the Devil Fruit! Golden Lion Shiki used his Devil Fruit abilities to escape from here back then! I overlooked this! Haha!"

Buggy grinned and said, "Devil Fruits offer a wide range of abilities and are incredibly versatile! Even without Bullet's fruit, there are other Devil Fruits that can help us escape!"

"It's just like Mr. 3's Wax-Wax Fruit!"

"Wax is less dense than water, so it floats! And Mr. 3's wax is as hard as iron!"

"A boat made from Mr. 3's wax could easily get us out of here!"

Domino's hands shook upon hearing this. She had completely given up resisting and continued removing Magellan's clothes.
