The new college entrance examination is a scoring system. Besides Chinese, Mathematics, English, and History, Physics, the remaining subjects of Ideological and Political Education, Geography, Biology, and Chemistry each have an original score of 100 points.
After scoring, the full mark is still 100 points, but the scoring starting point is set at 30 points.
These four elective subjects are assigned corresponding scores according to different grade intervals determined by the total ranking of students in each subject.
Students ranked in the top 1% can basically be awarded full marks.
The reason for adopting the scoring system is also because of the different numbers of candidates for each subject and the varying difficulties of the examination papers. The scoring system can make the examinations more fair.
However, the administrative system's backend can view the original true scores and the scores after scoring.
