Kein woke up with a rather sore body. Both of his legs were stiff and hard to move. He didn't know what caused it. After all, even though the recent training had been harder, he was still able to follow Coach Marlon's instructions without falling down. As his consciousness filled his body, Kein saw his friend's head coming out of the barrier.
Suddenly, his hand pushed Damian's head back into the pillow. But just then, his friend woke up with sticky eyes and messy hair.
"What's wrong with my head, mate? Is my hair hurting your sense of smell?" Damian scratched his head so hard that he didn't realise a lot of hair had fallen on top of his friend's face.
"It's nothing. I'm just proud that I managed to save my friend's life when I hadn't been awake for ten seconds."
"Really? That's absolutely a commendable action." Kein immediately collapsed and went back to sleep
On a fairly clear morning, Kein had no idea what to do before he started his academy studies. There were still no daily missions to complete. He tried to contact the system as usual but there was no screen of any kind which usually always surprised him.
He wanted to have breakfast first but he didn't want what had gone into his stomach to come out again in such an excruciating way. So she decided to clean up the room which was quite messy for two people. After all, it was his schedule to clean the room when Damian had just finished his shift two days ago.
Sometimes some people also think that cleaning is also a form of exercise, considering every movement or exertion expended. After almost half an hour of cleaning, he could feel his body getting fitter and not as stiff as when he just woke up.
Taking a short break, he stood by the bed as he thought about what he could learn from the 'system'. Although his life had not been governed by the 'system' for too long, Kein could feel the maximum process from within. Even so he still didn't understand why the 'system' showed statistics about his development that barely even changed.
That's why he also didn't have high expectations like an instant way to become a player that basketball fans could admire. After he was less exhausted, he idly jumped up and down repeatedly.
Kein wanted to understand the effect of his unique ability. 'Special Jump', that's what was written on the 'system' screen. An ability that sounds fictional but is also very marketable or tacky.
"My jump was really lighter, not like usual. It's as if my soul jumped high and left my body on the ground. Can a normal person receive this unique ability?" Scratching his head still not understanding what was happening to him.
"I want to see my stats again." Without realising it, Kein spontaneously said that out loud as if no one had heard him.
"What stats? Are you playing a game or being a character in a video game?" the intonation and voice that Kein must have heard every day in the dormitory.
"Damian! When did you wake up?" Kein was startled, his head immediately facing backwards and slightly looking up.
"Since you disturbed my sleep. What do you want to get out of jumping around in a room this small and disturbing your friend's sleeping hours?" Damian rubbed his eyes in an attempt to remove the density and magnetism between the mattress and his back.
"You're overreacting. It's already time for us to get ready for the academy. I'm actually wondering why you're still fast asleep while your friend is quite excited about the bright morning."
"So you're jumping up and down to wake me up? Nice try, mate." Damian instantly jumped off the bed without even stretching. "Thanks for disturbing my sleep until you forgot we didn't have class this morning." Leaving his room and heading for the bathroom.
"Is there really no morning class today?" Kein instantly did not remember anything about his academics.
While he was in the midst of some confusion, the system immediately showed him statistics about his points that did not differ in the slightest. But that was not what he wanted.
'Can I see all the unique abilities I can acquire?' Kein asked, more alert this time. Without further ado, the 'system' immediately showed what was requested.
[Special Jump]
[No Look Pass]
[Crossover]
[Double Clutch Lay Up]
'I didn't realise that the No Look Pass was also included in the unique abilities. Can't everyone do it?'
It was just that out of the list of unique abilities, none of them could be analysed in depth, other than the Special Jump he had obtained yesterday. Inevitably he only had one choice.
[Special Jump]
[You gained a much more efficient jumping ability.]
[Your jumps are lighter and do not put weight on your body and legs, either when releasing the jump or when landing.]
[Unlock after performing a predetermined number of jumps.]
To make sure once more, Kein jumped again and then sat back down on the mattress.
'My legs really don't feel any pressure from the body. Is my body like a packet of cotton now?' It was much more serious for him when he was desperately building up his muscles.
But after holding his body and legs, of course, his ridiculous expectations were unreal and he was still amazed at how the 'system' in his body made him quite complex for now.
After all the questions in his head were answered, Kein was still curious about the other unique abilities he would acquire. Although not now, but he began to melt and trust the 'system' when its existence completely rebuilt the figure of a teenager who had such high dreams.
Kein is so much more than he was before and he hopes that what he got is just the beginning of his road to the top. As the son of a former athlete with more fame than the average athlete, he certainly does not want to use his family name and trusts the 'system' that is now trying to take him to where he really belongs.
