Ultimately, the alpha pair could not send Rika back that night.

Their instincts did not allow them to separate from the sweet-smelling omega, and they ended up rubbing one out with her in the room, sleeping like the dead.

By morning's arrival, the alpha pair looked exhausted and fell asleep with Rika sandwiched between them.

The beta made a frustrated sound as she felt crushed and overwhelmed by the pheromones, but her fever did not break.

At first, Emily was sure that it was a heat cycle. 

But the usual smell of arousal, as well as the other oddities that came with the cycle, were not there. Instead, it just looked as if Rika was sick.

When she did not know any signs of getting better, even after half a day, the alpha pair knew that it was time to take her to the hospital.
