**Konoha Village**
*Hokage Building*
Inside the Hokage's office, Takuya looked at the letter in his hand and nodded noncommittally. It was from the Fifth Mizukage, The letter read:
---
**To Hokage-sama,**
I am writing to you as I feel my age catching up with me. I have also been controlled by illusions and made grievous mistakes. Therefore, I am taking the initiative to resign from my position as Mizukage. I would also like to seek your advice on the right person to succeed me.
Respectfully,
The Fifth Mizukage
---
Seeing the Fifth Mizukage being so understanding, Takuya smiled. Although he had unified the entire ninja world for a long time, each village still retained a great deal of autonomy, including the selection of their Kage. But now, this opportunity allowed him to exert influence over the appointment of the "shadows" of each village.
As for the choice... Terumi Mei seemed very suitable. She had come to Konoha a few years ago and had been living with his clan. Moreover, she thought about continuing the lineage of the clan every day. Such a woman was perfect to help him rule Kirigakure.
Thinking of this, Takuya wrote a reply. Subsequently, he walked towards the homeland of his clan. Before Mei became Mizukage, he wanted her to become his wife.
*Clan Compound*
Mei was chatting with Kurenai, Shizune, and Rin, her face full of envy. Ever since coming to Konoha Village, she fantasized about marrying Takuya and becoming Mrs. Hokage. Even Kurenai and the others had been influenced by Mei into joining the clan, yet they had married the man she loved most before she did.
"Sigh... I don't know when Lord Hokage will marry me," Mei said, somewhat melancholic.
"Mei, you don't have to worry. Your wish should come true soon. With Takuya's attitude towards you, what do you have to be afraid of?" Kurenai comforted her softly.
Mei nodded absently. Seeing her like this, Kurenai and the others didn't say anything further. They had experienced this kind of mood before.
At this moment, they suddenly saw Takuya approaching.
"Husband!" Kurenai stood up and shouted in surprise.
"Kurenai, Shizune, Rin, what are you all doing?" Takuya chuckled.
"Just chatting. Why are you here?" Kurenai asked curiously.
"Um... there is something about Kirigakure that I want to discuss with Mei," Takuya said softly.
After hearing his words, Kurenai and the others looked at each other, smiled, patted Mei on the shoulder, and left voluntarily.
After they left, Mei stood up respectfully.
"Lord Hokage, what do you want to talk to me about?" Mei asked, awkwardly.
A few days ago, Mei already knew about the rebellion launched by the Kaguya clan in Kirigakure. Could it be that Lord Hokage had come to accuse her?
" Mei, don't be so formal. Sit down." Takuya pulled Mei's hand and asked her to sit next to him.
This move made Mei breathe a sigh of relief.
"Read this letter first." Takuya handed the letter from the Fifth Mizukage to Mei.
Mei took it and read it. Gradually, her eyes became serious.
"Lord Hokage, do you have any ideas?" Mei asked. She wasn't a fool; she was quite smart. She knew that Takuya wouldn't tell her such things for no reason.
A bold idea popped into Mei's mind. Could Lord Hokage be considering her for the position of Mizukage? When she thought of this possibility, her heart couldn't help but beat wildly with excitement. Becoming Mizukage had been her dream since childhood! Growing up under the Blood Mist policy, she always dreamed of becoming Mizukage one day, overturning the policy, and making Kirigakure a harmonious and loving village. Now, would this dream come true?
"I want you to be the next Mizukage. Are you willing?" Takuya asked softly.
"Willing! I... I would love to! Thank you, Lord Hokage, for your guidance! I will definitely not let you down in the future," Mei knelt on one knee, her voice trembling with excitement. It turned out to be exactly what she thought—Takuya wanted her to become Kirigakure's next Mizukage!
"But... Lord Hokage, you said Mizukage's candidate..." Mei's excitement turned to worry. Although each ninja village was now under Konoha's jurisdiction, would the ninjas of Kirigakure accept her appointment?
"Do not worry. This kind of thing is inevitable. If anyone is not convinced by this result, I will get rid of them all," Takuya said calmly.
"No one can object to what I want to do. Whoever objects will be eliminated."
"I understand," Mei nodded. With Takuya's support, she had nothing to fear.
"By the way, there is one more thing," Takuya said suddenly.
"Please give your orders," Mei said respectfully.
" Mei, once you become Mizukage, you won't be able to stay in Konoha forever. So, before that, I want to hold the wedding with you first," Takuya said gently.
"Ah? Wedding ceremony?! You mean... you want to marry me?!" Mei asked in a panic.
"Yes, that's right. Do you want to marry me?" Takuya asked calmly.
"Of course! You don't know how long I've been waiting!" Mei jumped up excitedly. After all, she couldn't say no to a handsome guy like Takuya. And marrying Takuya had been her dream for a long time.
"Then our wedding will be in three days. Prepare yourself," Takuya said before turning and leaving.
Mei stayed where she was, feeling like she was in a dream. Becoming Mizukage and marrying Takuya—these were the two biggest wishes in her heart. She couldn't believe they were coming true. This feeling was wonderful. Mei felt that there was no one luckier than her in this world.

[Ding!]
[Being in love with his wife Terumi Mei, and getting rewards: Constitution +1, Chakra +1!]
As the system prompted, Takuya felt a warm current flow through his body.
In the next second, his strength grew even more powerful.
While the Lava Release and Boil Release bloodline limits did not greatly increase his power individually, they could be passed on to the next generation through his bloodline, making them valuable rewards.
Additionally, doubling the power of his magic was an outrageous benefit. Magic was already incredibly powerful, and now its power was doubled. To give a simple example, True Several Thousand Hands, a magic technique, would now have the power to destroy the world.
After briefly understanding the system's rewards, Takuya smiled.
Today, he held a grand wedding for Mei. At the wedding, he announced for the first time that the selection of Kage for the various villages would be up to the Hokage of Konoha Village. This news stunned everyone.
No one expected Takuya to make such a decision. The "Kage" of each village represents its facade. Without the right to choose their own Kage, what kind of village would that be? What difference would it have from a destroyed village?
Many were concerned about Takuya's decision. While the ninja world was unified in name, each village had a high degree of autonomy. Now, with Takuya openly announcing interference in other villages' Kage elections, it could lead to massive protests.
However, many also cheered for Takuya, considering him the greatest and most courageous Hokage ever. They believed that if this continued, the ninja world would become one family, and there would be no more wars.
Takuya didn't care about others' opinions. He knew that if anyone objected, he would simply eliminate them. With his current strength, he wasn't afraid of anyone in the ninja world.
"Love, I'll help you get dressed," Mei said softly, waking up with a hoarse voice. She had been through a lot the previous day.
"How do you feel? Can your body handle it? If you're uncomfortable, we can wait a few days before setting off," Takuya said gently, looking at Mei.
"No, husband, this is nothing," Mei shook her head. She couldn't wait to become Mizukage.
"Really?" Takuya's hand moved as he touched Mei's small mouth, remembering the incredible experience from last night.
"Husband, it's getting late. Shouldn't we be on our way?" Mei asked, seeing Takuya's fiery eyes and feeling a bit panicked.
"There's no rush. With me here, it'll only take a moment to reach Kirigakure. Kneel down first," Takuya said with a slight smile, putting his hand on Mei's head.
"Eat clean," he said after a moment, releasing her once she had completed the request.
"Do you want to eat some food to replenish your strength?" Takuya asked gently.
"No," Mei shook her head. She couldn't eat anything more.
"Alright, get dressed. We're ready to go," Takuya ordered.
After a while, Mei got dressed.
"Husband, should I prepare the carriage now?" Mei asked softly.
"No need, just come here," Takuya waved her over. "Hold me."
Mei nodded and hugged Takuya tightly.
"Kamui," Takuya whispered, and the space around them fluctuated. The next second, they disappeared.
"Alright, we're here," Takuya's voice rang in Mei's ears.
Mei opened her eyes slowly, seeing the Mizukage Building of Kirigakure in front of her.
"How is this possible? So fast?" Mei exclaimed, covering her mouth in disbelief.
"It's just a space-time transfer," Takuya explained lightly.
Mei was speechless. Space-time transfer? Just like that? The power to transport her from Konoha to Kirigakure in an instant must have required an immense amount of chakra. Yet, Takuya made it seem so trivial.
Ignoring her shock, Takuya walked towards the Mizukage Building. Mei quickly followed him.
As they entered, both frowned at the scent of blood in the air. Years of ninja experience told them it was human blood.
Reaching the second floor, they opened the door to the Mizukage's office and were greeted by the sight of the Fifth Mizukage's, severed head.
"Mizukage-sama!" Mei immediately drew her kunai, ready to defend.
"You're finally here. We've been waiting for you," came a cold voice from the shadows.
"Hehehe... Yes, I'm already a little impatient," another voice echoed.
Several Kirigakure ninjas emerged, surrounding Takuya and Mei.
