[These flexible components that king Virtya call them the pistons, they were installed on this day and the fasteners were used to fasten the pistons onto the crankshafts(fig 1).. I thought it was strange and new, I was puzzled at what these pistons would be used for to these strange structures but I remained calm and peek secretly every time at what the fasteners were doing. King Virtya was there to view the fasteners doing their stuff and I was overwhelmed by his presence but I bit my tongue and braved just to see the next step.
What followed was what shocked me to the core. The fasteners smeared lard at the inner curvature of the cylinders and onto the pistons and the crankshafts and then something strange happened.
King Virtya shifted the lever beside these mechanisms and all the pistons in the cylinders of the combustion chamber started to move on their own. It was slow at first but as Virtya continued to shift the lever, the speed of the crankshafts increased which made the pistons to move forward and backwards very fast.
The pistons were moving by themselves just because of the rotational motion of the gears connected to the rotary mechanism that the cement plant use.
I wish all of you would have been here to see this magic. It was simply amazing.
Clearly, the factory has yet to start fabricating the anticipated glass but I will be here to await for that day.
I don't know if Virtya would be successful in this one because what I know is that glass could not be manufactured by man. That is a pipe dream. It is simply impossible and unrealistic, but let's see. Maybe Virtya would pull up what we thought would never happen.
But if this is conceivable, then we will have to move very fast and do all that it takes to have a glass manufacturing plant for ourselves. It pains me to see that Azuhai kingdom is almost overtaking us in terms of technology. If this continues, then, Azuhai would be richer and powerful than us.
A reference image of the combustion chamber is on the next page.]
Tolya took his time to write down everything and on this day, he was helping in installing the flue pipe from the melt tank into the regenerator. That was when Tolya saw armoured knight coming where he was working.
The knights were surrounding Virtya and Tolya didn't dare to look into the eyes of any knight, let alone the eyes of Virtya as he was afraid that they might caught him.
Tolya remained calm and he even ignored the fact that Virtya was around, he only decided to lower his head and praise Virtya when he heard his fellow workers doing so.
At this time, Tolya was wearing a tattered clothing with patches here and there and he seemed to be very tired and energetic at the same time. Sweat poured down from his face and when he decided to raise his head, his eyes met face to face with Virtya's eyes.
Tolya was shaken to core and he almost pissed his pants.
Energy drained from his knees and he struggled very much to maintain his stance. He cast a look around him and found out that his fellow workers had moved aside to allow Virtya's cohort to pass, it seemed that while he was distracted, his fellows left without warning him.
Damnit!
Tolya turned to Virtya, he didn't knew what to do.
'When did he reach so close to me all of a sudden?' Tolya was indignant as he asked himself this question.
"You seem to be very tired and weak... but it is expected. Boys like you should not be doing this kind of labour. You did a good job. If you want to quit, no one will stop you. I don't force people to work for me..." After Virtya said this, he moved past the shaken and puzzled Tolya.
Clearly, as a 14 year old, Tolya was still a minor according to Virtya because in his past life, people around the age of Tolya would have been enjoying teenage romance in schools and not doing construction works but because if how backward this world was, the notion of adulthood had been altered because of certain circumstances.
"Brat, stand aside! I will not punish you today but next time you stand on king Virtya's way, that will be your last day to see the face of this world." A robust knight growled at Tolya before he pushed him aside with his shoulder.
The push was just a little jerk but Tolya found himself reeling several metres away from where he was, it was only his fellow workers who caught him and stopped his movement.
