Robin arches a perfectly groomed eyebrow, setting her cup down with a soft clink. "Good morning to you too, Ramsey. What's the rush?"
Ramsey runs a hand through his tousled hair, a nervous gesture that Robin has come to recognize. "I'm going to be away for a few days. Some business to take care of."
Robin's eyes narrow, her suspicion growing. "Away? Where exactly are you going?"
Ramsey waves a dismissive hand, his charming smile firmly in place. "Oh, you know, just a few meetings here and there. Nothing to worry about, darling."
She frowns at him.
Something tells her that he's lying.
"What about—?" she starts, her voice slightly annoyed, before being interrupted by Ramsey's soft yet purposeful steps toward her.
He comes to a stop before her, his presence filling the space between them.
Robin's breath hitches as she meets his intense gaze, and she feels a shiver run down her spine.
