"Andy, what do you see in my teacup?"
Hermione asked herself. She flipped through the book and looked into Andy's teacup, "I seem to see... what is it?"
"Open your mind, dear! Let your eyes pass beyond the mundane," Professor Trelawney pointed out from the darkness.
Hermione tried hard to see something in the tea leaves.
"It's a bit like a cross..."
Hermione said hesitantly while consulting her book 'Unfogging the Future': "Andy...it means you will encounter trials and tribulations."
"If you turn it over..."
Andy: "..."
This kind of mumbo-jumbo class...
Ignoring Hermione, Andy played with Hermione's teacup and looked carefully at the tea leaves at the bottom of the cup.
Open your mind... Let your eyes pass beyond the mundane!
Andy pondered Professor Trelawney's words, trying hard to forget something and look at the tea leaves at the bottom of the cup with an 'open mind'.
In a daze, Andy found that he really could see something in the tea leaves. But what it was exactly, he could not make out, no matter how hard he tried.
"What's wrong?"
Hermione asked, coming over. "What did you see? Why haven't you said anything?"
"Hmm..."
Andy raised an eyebrow and then turned to Hermione, "Maybe... you'll drop a few elective courses this year."
"Huh?"
Hermione was taken aback, but then said with determination, "I definitely won't! Well... at least I'll stick it out until the end of my third year."
After saying this, Hermione looked at Andy with a strange expression, "Is that all you can see?"
"Maybe I need to broaden my horizons."
Andy shrugged, "I've been looking for a long time, but I can't see anything clearly."
"Let me try again!"
After saying that, Andy looked carefully at the tea leaves at the bottom of the cup, trying to see something from them.
Hermione no longer bothered Andy but listened curiously to the "predictions" made by the other students.
Occasionally, Professor Trelawney would also give some "guidance", but her guidance was usually closely linked to things that seemed ominous and bad luck.
Andy played with the teacup in his hands, trying to look at the tea leaves from different angles.
This thing really seems to have some kind of magic power.
Andy really did have a hazy feeling, as if he could see something, but also as if he could not see a clear picture.
It was as if there was a fog in front of his eyes.
Andy picked up the book 'Unfogging the Future' and carefully read pages 5 and 6.
The book's interpretation of the patterns was all fixed.
One pattern corresponded to one solution.
A true prophecy definitely wouldn't work like that.
"My dear, you look a little lost," Professor Trelawney, who had come up at some point, asked.
"Sorry, Professor,"
Andy handed the teacup to Professor Trelawney and said, "I've watched it carefully and tried to open my mind as much as possible, but... I can't see anything."
"My dear, don't be upset when I say this,"
Trelawney kept shaking her head. "Your eyes are clouded with mist, and you have a poor ability to perceive future resonances."
Andy thoughtfully asked, "Professor, then, how do I dispel this mist?"
Trelawney held out a hand and placed it on Andy's shoulder. "My dear, the only thing blocking you is your own knowledge and perception, and it has nothing to do with anything else."
Andy: "..."
So...do I need to forget all my common conceptions?
Like learning Tai Chi or meditative practices?
Professor Trelawney did not say much to Andy.
That was the nature of Divination: even with the gift of sight, one could not always see the future.
She had taught at Hogwarts for twelve years and had never seen a young wizard achieve much in the field of Divination.
"Hey, mate."
Ron sat down next to Andy. "You don't really believe that liar... that Professor Trelawney, do you?"
"Of course!" Andy nodded.
"That's not like you."
Ron looked surprised, then whispered, "George told me that if we predict our own misfortune in the final exam, we can get a passing grade."
"Fred predicted that his brothers would die last semester, and Professor Trelawney gave him an E."
Andy: "..."
"Thanks! I think I know what to do," Andy nodded.
Andy didn't try to argue with Ron.
After all, everyone thinks differently.
Ron just wanted to pass the course, and he told Andy this out of good intentions. As for Andy, he really wanted to learn divination from Professor Trelawney.
It just seemed a bit difficult to learn divination at the moment.
'Is it because I don't have enough talent?'
After dismissing Ron, Andy opened the system panel.
Andy had his own understanding of the data in the system panel. A talent of three points in Divination was indeed very average.
At least four points of talent are needed to be considered a genius.
"I think that's enough for today,"
Professor Trelawney said in a vague voice. "Please gather your things, and I wish you all luck until we meet again."
"Oh dear,"
She said, pointing at Neville. "You'll be late for the next class. So remember to work extra hard to catch up."
Andy felt that Professor Trelawney had completely read Neville.
As they walked out of the North Tower, Andy and Hermione quickly ducked into an unoccupied corner.
"Two turns?" Hermione asked.
"Three turns!"
Andy suggested. "With the extra hour, I can finish today's homework. That way, we can still find some time in the evening to read some extracurricular books."
Hermione looked at Andy in surprise. "My goodness, do you still have the energy to read extracurricular books?"
"Of course!"
Andy said, shrugging. "I've been sneaking off to sleep in both Charms and Transfiguration classes. The Professors know my level, so they don't mind."
"I'm going to talk to the Professors about reading other books in class in the future, so we won't waste time."
The young witch was speechless. "Then let's do three turns!"
Andy took the Time-Turner out of his clothes and turned three times at the same time as Hermione.
Andy felt as if he was flying backwards at great speed, with blurred shapes of clouds flashing past his eyes. Something seemed to be pounding in his ears, and he couldn't hear his own voice.
When it stopped, Andy noticed that nothing had changed, and Hermione was standing next to him.
"Andy, look outside," Hermione exclaimed, pointing to the window.
Andy turned his head.
Judging from the position of the sun, it was indeed three hours earlier.
"At this time of day, we're still having Transfiguration class,"
Andy said. "We can do our homework in the Ravenclaw library, and then go to Arithmancy afterwards."
