"Rena-san, you're alive. What are you going to do to us?" she demanded, her cold glare directed at me.
I stared at her, my expression unreadable. "I wonder."
"If you kill us, you might as well start digging your own grave. The Gods will not let this affront go unpunished. They'll come for you, and when they do, you'll stand no chance," Kaguya spat out.
I tilted my head slightly, considering her words with an air of almost casual curiosity. "What about Amaterasu? Won't she be the first to come after me? Isn't that her duty as your protector?" I asked, watching her closely for any flicker of truth or deceit in her eyes.
Kaguya hesitated, the briefest moment of uncertainty flashing across her face before she quickly composed herself. "No," she said, her voice steadier now, but the lie was obvious. "She doesn't care about me. You can kill me right now, and it won't matter to her in the slightest."
