Cooling down for the Night

A small chapter to wrap up that last event for the day inside the story, hope you enjoy and I'll make some more slice of life in future, to counteract the drama and events.

The mysterious voice disappeared soon after my eyes opened, the very fundamentals of what I understood about the universe changing and shifting before my eyes. Time was a constant, but also malleable, allowing for infinite versions and computations. Many of the visions I witnessed were actually just parallel universes' futures.

Still having no clue as to who that first man was I archived his voice and other aspects into my brain, making sure that it was behind the thickest and most sturdy mental defences I had in place. My peace was disturbed soon after however as Milim charged in with Shuna following her. Milim looked awe struck at the aura I was emanating whilst Shuna was just happy that something had happened. Despite being minorly shocked by the sudden intrusion I was quite happy seeing them, not finding any sight of them being skeletons or being skewered by alternate versions of our enemies.

My eyes flared once again as an illusionary projection of the hourglasses in my eyes hung in mid air, the very essence of the space around me fluctuating and quivering as the gravity and space around me specifically began to bend and warp before returning to normal. Milim's aura widened out but seemed minor in comparison to the people I had seen in that luminal space from before, her countenance changing to surprise as she noticed my reaction.

"An ultimate skill given to someone who wasn't a Demon Lord or with high Spiritual Attainment..." Milim seemed quite shaken but also happy as her eyes gleamed in intense interest and fascination. With my words everyone who had just made it up the stairs besides Shuna and Milim were stunned. Rimuru was confused until The Great Sage began to explain what it was to him.

Yuna was surprised by the statement and looked at me with a cheeky grin, her eyes showing all of the fun she was going to have telling this story to everyone she met in future. Grimacing from that little future source of embarrassment I stood up from the bed, my body perfectly fine except for a twinge of golden throughout my skin, influenced by the element of time. If I wasn't immortal before, I was now. Like an ocean I could feel my connection to the very essence of its meaning on this plane. At the same time I began to feel the changes made by certain individuals, pertaining mainly to Chloe Aubert but this was interrupted by a magic ward around the event that pushed me back and sent me back to reality.

This was a fortuitous happenstance as within moments I had a wild Milim jumping at me for hugs and an also wild Shuna lunging at me for a kiss. Needless to say Rimuru and Shion started to go downstairs with Yuna watching and whistling before Rimuru grasped the collar of her shirt and dragged her down with him. 

"Why!? It was just getting to the good part!"

"That's exactly why you mischievous scoundrel, now come with me and we'll give them some privacy for the night." I swear I could hear a faint 'aww' noise after he spoke, my attention on those that were leaving and also on Milim and Shuna who were getting a bit frisky. To be honest I wasn't apposed but I was also tired out of my mind and just wanted to snuggled, my day had been torturous and sucky... I wanted it to be tomorrow already!

"Sorry you two, but can we just snuggle and watch some stuff tonight? I am way too tired to be any good in bed and I want to verse you both in top form." Milim blushed but nodded as she ran her tongue up my neck, whispering my ear a moment later.

"Sure... But we are definitely doing it tomorrow, kay?" I nodded and gulped slightly as Shuna tugged on my now pristine dress.

"I wanna watch Master Chef." I chuckled and teleported us all downstairs, the couch preparing itself rapidly as a TV summoned and widened, the front door closing swiftly as Rimuru's face brightened from the dirty ideas running through his mind. I couldn't care what he thought though and just set up our little nest for the evening. To be honest it was always cosy but now that I had fixed my issue and I could understand the beauty in normal vision i appreciated the sight of my two women laying into me as we watched TV shows.

The next episode of Master Chef started to play as my Ultimate Skill fully began to implement itself, the major details left for tomorrow as I was utterly spent with today's shenanigans.

"Haha, Ramsey is a smart ass!" Those type of words continued to be spoken by Milim and Shuna as they both tightly hugged into me, their forms heating me and filling my soul with love.

"I love you both."
