A new Dawn? Industry!

My eyes fluttered open as the warm presence of Shuna still pressed against me. I stretched as little as possible whilst making sure I didn't wake her. As i looked down I noticed that somehow in the middle of the night Shuna had rotated around so that her head now ended up in my breasts.

Her eyes we twitching a little as she too was beginning to wake, our morning rises being similar in time. Each touch of our bodies conveyed to me the softness and beauty of her body, the sheer heat being kept under our blanket being enough to warm both of our souls. Her eyelids twitched once more and a small groan emanated from her mouth as she readjusted.

"Five more minutes..." I blushed as I felt her left knee pressing into my pelvic region. I stayed silent through her movement until she stopped once more, the expression on her face being blissful.

'Of course i'll give you five more minutes...'

Like that I stayed perfectly still until she awoke, half an hour later. Yeah I was a bit of a pushover but she was simply too cute when asleep. I struggled multiple times not to lay kisses on her face.

"Mmm, Silvi... What time is it...?"

"It's early in the morning sweetie. You can stay asleep if you want, you know, Elf things."

Her face pouted a little as she cuddled into me harder. I was blown away by how stunningly cute she was being.

"Stay with me, it feels lonely when you leave..." How could I argue with that? I couldn't, so I did what any partner would and hugged her closer. I ensured that she was comfortable whilst doing it.

...

An hour later we were both up and cooking in the kitchen, our breakfast being a collection of fruits and berries from the forest along with some honey. Funnily enough Shuna wanted to watch Master Chef whilst eating as well so I asked rip-off to place it in the air for her.

We both enjoyed the series and Shuna really like Gordon Ramsey and how he comforted the children whilst showing them how to do things. She didn't really care for the showmanship of the suit changes and whatever but the experience was enjoyable for her. Two episodes passed before we had to go to work again, Shuna being a little moody because she had to stop watching it.

'TV is certainly addictive in a way... Maybe I should make it a thing we only watch at night and in the morning... Hold on, if I could show TV shows, couldn't I show Documentaries I have watched?' A lightbulb flickered inside my head as numerous different documentaries explaining different subjects flittered through the surface of my thoughts.

'Damn, I could introduce hundreds of different techniques and idea to society...' My eyes glazed over as I remembered one on Magnetism and Electromagnetism. I smiled widely as I took out a piece of paper from a nearby draw. I began to write the method of generating electricity using boiling water, steam, a rotor, a drive shaft and a coil of copper wire around Iron and finally a series of magnets around said iron to receive the opposing force of the magnetic poles in the wires.

Shuna was a little stunned that I had started to suddenly write idea down, her curiosity driving her to walk around behind me to look at what I was drawing. Understanding was impossible for her, someone who had never dabbled in complex machinery and science.

"What is this Silvi?"

"A machine that will allow for cost-effective power generation without the need for magical practitioners of enchantment and ridiculous energy storage. It is called an Electric Motor." her eyes widened and she smiled, hugging her breasts into the back of my head as she watched me quickly draw down diagrams and material needs.

The efficiency of the motor was determined by the strength of the Magnets and the insulating materials used for electric transference. We needed Magnetised material, for that we would need to supply electricity into magnetisable material, like Nickel, Stainless Steel, silver or soft iron... Soft Iron is rare but doable, it is also the bets material to form the core of the Magnetised shaft. I didn't know if Nickel was a material that could be found but who knows, I may be able to change the composition of the Iron we have to make it work.

Lightning contained electricity so Kaijin's project will be able to properly activate the magnetization... We may just have to find a way of separating the electrical energy from the heat energy. With some of the necessities written down I finally ceased writing and stood up, turning to give Shuna a kiss and a hug. We had finished watching the episode a few minutes ago and now we were prepared to go.

"I have some ideas to run by you at work sweetie... I think they are pretty revolutionary for education."

"Of course, we'll review the ideas at work."

Like that we set off towards the office once more, reaching there in less than ten minutes. The Town was now becoming a bastion of progress in the midst of the wild forest of Jura. Houses and shops lined the beautiful cobble paths, people crying out their wears and various knick-knacks to the local peoples. Buildings were being built by Orcs as in the distance a massive construct of cut stone slabs and blocks was being erected and worked on by the gestalt Orcs and their perseverance.

The Cistern and Sewers had been completed yesterday and now the Aqueduct was one of two project being focussed on, the other being a massive addition to housing, gutters. The houses originally were made with the intention of the ground absorbing the water from the roofs, but, with so much paved pathways and other housing it was necessary to consider siphoning the water in a lesser amount into gutters at the street level and channelling it into the sewers and by extension into the natural ecosystem.

This was what Geld was focussing on today, and no doubt, by the end of today I would have some more work for him and his people. Luckily for Geld I had noticed his issue with management of the Orcs early on and initiated a system of responsibility. Basically, each Orc would have a single job, that job would not change and it would be the same until it a change was needed. This would simplify the process of construction as the Orcs aren't having to grasp complex orders and instead working simultaneously to achieve their own job to the best standard they could manage.

Anyway, moving off of that, the city was gleaming in the early-morning sun, the white stones and colourful paints resplendently presenting the culture of the people to everyone that bore witness. I was proud of the changes that had occurred, the town was much better off than even the city from the anime, the productiveness unaffected by Ifrit or the Orc Lord. Stepping into the main hall one could easily see the changes since it was first made. The entire building had begun to be changed and renovated. I had ordered the change due to the increasing need for a office separate to the main meeting hall.

The office was for my use, the meeting hall would be for me and the other heads of the government to meet and discuss things. All together the building was gaining a second level and more people would be hired to run the paper work and other needed aspects of Government. Currently the main hallway was being constructed and there was a line up of people in a building adjacent to the main one.

It would take a day or two to complete the changes in the main building so I would have to move to a temporary office for a little bit. Entering the temporary building I set myself down on the chair behind my desk, a pile of paper two to three times greater than when I first started.

"NEXT!"

...

The day passed by slowly, very slowly, each person bringing me sophisticated reports that required a lot of thinking and consideration. The Agricultural sector was exploding in yield and value as many Goblins and Lizardmen were keen growers. Beekeeping had become rather popular because of Milim's constant consumption of the sweet food. Vegetable farming and Orchids had increased in popularity as a large swathe of the opposite side of the clearing had been 'bought' via credits. Luckily there were many owners in the land and most of them were paying normal people in Credits to fully staff the land and work it.

Milim recently had taken a trip down to the farms, receiving some fruits and honey from the farmers. The good thing about Agriculture in the forest was that the Dryads were sharing the bounty of the forest with us and increasing the productivity of the flora and fauna. Thus we were getting a large yield this soon... If it continued this way we could become massive food exporters for the Continent, surpassing even the Empire and Englassia. In a way it was very good, in another, frightening.

Mining was another sector that received a large update, the crews discovering a vein of Mithril in the caverns that used to contain Veldora. They also discovered some small deposits of Iron and Gold, the materials being worth quite a bit. Unfortunately for me and Kaijin none of the minerals were used for making Magnets, meaning we would have to import what we needed or continue excavations and surveys for other minerals. I planned to do both... There wasn't even copper, thus I had to curb the idea of spreading Electric Motors and Generators for a small amount of time.

Rimuru had a lot of Magical Ore and other materials from the cave and this fact was annoying the fuck out of me because he just up and left at this stage. 'He s certainly going to get scolded by me... I'll even bring Shuna into it! He's afraid of Shuna and Shion.' It wasn't even the fact that he left, no it was the fact that those materials he has on him could take on the properties that were imbued into them, me an Kaijin could have easily infused the Magnetism into them and started.

The next industry that received an update was actually the fabrics and clothing industry, many of the materials now becoming self sufficient due to the farms. We were now able to create a stable amount of clothing products and various other cloth items. Towels were specifically useful and saw the most purchase as people had started to use their showers more. This was another reason I wished to gain electricity soon, so we could gain heated water using electricity to heat it in a small cistern or container on the exterior of the house and transmit it to the showers through pipes. No far people have been having cold showers, in Winter... It was madness for normal people but it was a welcome change to the people of Rimuru; the Capital of the Tempest Jura Federation.

After all of the Industry updates I received some reports of suspicious movements from a member of the Beastketeers. Phobio had fallen for the bait like an absolute idiot and had probably already started the rebirth of Charybdis. Usually a leader would be pissed if something like this was happening in their territory but not me, no, I cherished the opportunity. When would another dose of Stats come? A long while away... That was the answer, so, I was quite happy. Not to mention that it would give me an excuse to get out of working for a little while.

"Shuna, let's go to the training grounds. We need to increase our power... I have a feeling something is coming for our nation soon." Her face grew concerned, nodding a few seconds later as Milim popper her head through a window, almost giving me a heart attack.

"Training!? Let me join, please, please, please...! I am so bored!"
