Chapter 158: Another World

[Anthony's POV]

 "Mr. Luthor, it's a pleasure to see you in our city."

The mayor of Central City greeted me with a polite smile, shaking my hand.

"And of course, you too, Miss Luthor."

He added while greeting Lena as well.

Talia and Cortana came up behind her.

Talia had chosen to work as a secretary with Cortana, but her main job would be to do more covert operations.

"Please, Joseph. My brother and I are committed to environmental sustainability, and the contract with S.T.A.R. Labs came at just the right time. It might cost a lot to replace the current reactor with an Arc Reactor, but it will benefit the entire city."

Lena said, wearing a business suit and skirt and carrying a professional handbag.

"Indeed..."

Joseph's smile faltered momentarily at the mention of the project's cost.

"Ahem, if you ever wish to stay at the best hotel in the city, just let us know, and the V.I.P. room will be yours immediately."

"Thank you very much, but we have an office also equipped for overnight stays."

I replied.

"My brother is a workaholic."

Lena shrugged and gave him an apologetic look.

"I completely understand. Young and ambitious people often spend all their time working, but don't forget about your health."

Joseph said in a friendly manner as we exited the airport.

A day had passed since I summoned Kaori to this world.

At first, she lay in her room on the bed while staring at the ceiling to process everything that had happened to her.

She soon went through the internet and disappeared for several hours. 

I introduced myself to her, and she thoroughly investigated information about me and Lena.

Lena scolded me well on the matter.

Fortunately, after I told her about how Kaori's life had ended in her world, she softened and went to talk to her.

Eventually, Kaori tried Erina's food and was so overwhelmed that she fell into a blissful daze.

She then enthusiastically ate everything she could find and generally cheered up.

Initially, the thoughts of her family and friends crossed her mind, but they quickly faded...

I'm not sure if this influenced the Gacha or just the adaptability of a teenage mind.

In Central City today, the weather was perfect and cloudless, making our trip to the office and a brief city tour fast and pleasant.

After that, Lena and I met with S.T.A.R. Labs guests again to review the contract and begin building the Arc Reactor. 

During my free time, I studied the description of the "Random Movie/TV Show Travel Card" and discovered why it was ranked so low.

The journey lasts a maximum of one day or twenty-four hours, and I will be teleported back at the end.

Rias Gremory: Are you coming to my girls' night out?

Shinoa Hiragi: Yeah!

Erina Nakiri: If it's important to you, why not.

Shinoa Hiragi: Tsun-tsun

Hermione Granger: I haven't changed my mind, so I'll come. I have nothing to do at Hogwarts right now anyway.

I opened a portal next to Lena and asked in a questioning tone.

"Yes, so you're not invited."

She replied with a smile.

I opened the portal wider and stepped through to sit down opposite her.

"What? If you come, it will most likely turn into an orgy. This way, we can talk about our own girly things."

She offered a convincing argument.

"Why did Rias even decide to organize such an... event?"

"We haven't all spent much time together face-to-face, and she suggested we fix that."

Lena shrugged, giving me a playful look.

"Are you jealous of your sister's friends?"

"No."

I lied.

"Have fun... and I need to ask Shinoa not to disable the broadcast for me."

I whispered, then leaned in and kissed her, still sitting in her chair.

She tilted her head back and pressed slightly into the chair but responded to the kiss passionately.

"Ra's al Ghul..."

Talia entered the office and immediately knelt, then stood up and saw me still kissing Lena.

She clearly didn't like it but maintained a friendly demeanor.

"When you're not on a mission, call me by my name."

 I said while breaking the kiss with Lena.

"What's the matter?"

"Deathstroke has dealt with H.I.V.E. and is now heading back to Metropolis with a woman."

Talia reported, likely informed by League spies.

"Oh, and it hasn't even been a year."

I chuckled.

"Thanks for the info, Talia. Is there anything else?"

I asked, glancing at her.

"...May I accompany you when you meet Slade Wilson?"

"No problem. I'll come to you in about an hour..."

Lena understood what I meant and started unbuttoning her blouse.

Talia nodded and bowed before leaving the room but did not close the door completely so she could watch our intimate moments.

Cortana entered to join us, and I teleported us to Olympus where I altered the flow of time.

I thoroughly satisfied Lena and Cortana to the point where they passed out on top of each other.

"Talia, where exactly is Wilson?"

I asked Talia when I stepped out of the office and approached her.

"One moment..."

She retrieved a tablet.

"He's on a Damascus-New York flight."

She showed additional information and the flight number.

"Got it."

I extended my hand to her, and she immediately took it.

"Are you afraid of heights?"

"No,"

She responded quickly, and we were nine thousand meters above the ocean the next moment near the plane.

Talia squeezed my hand tighter, but her face remained stoic.

"I see..."

I contacted Wilson mentally and then teleported him beside me.

"I've fulfilled my part of the deal. H.I.V.E. is destroyed. I hope you won't drop us?"

Wilson held a woman by the hand... she was insane.

The woman's mind was in turmoil, and she could have caused chaos if not for the large dose of sedative that Wilson had given her.

This madness was due to Deathstroke's blood that he had given her to heal her, but instead it drove her mad.

"No, if I wanted to get rid of you, you'd simply turn to dust."

I said.

"Tirips dna dnim reh laeh."

I used a mnemonic spell to heal her mind and then altered reality slightly to return her body to the original state before Wilson's blood entered it.

Adeline blinked a few times as clarity returned to her eyes, with her confusion and madness dissipating.

She looked around while taking in the surreal scene of being thousands of meters in the air with her hand still in Wilson's.

"What... what happened?"

She murmured with her voice filled with wonder and relief.

"You're safe now."

I said, releasing Talia's hand and stepping closer to Adeline.

"Your mind is healed, and your body is restored. You can live your life free from the madness that plagued you."

Adeline's eyes welled with tears as she looked at me and then at Wilson, who still held her hand firmly.

"Thank you."

She whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.

Wilson nodded, his face a mix of gratitude and determination.

"Thank you."

He echoed.

"This means more than you know."

"You've earned it."

I replied.

"Now, let's get you both to Metropolis."

With a thought, I teleported us back to a quiet alley in Metropolis where we could regroup and plan our next steps.

"She's healed. Now, as for you... I propose this option for your future actions. You quietly spend the rest of your days with your wife and start a family again... without any memory of your mercenary life."

"This..."

Wilson started, clearly not thrilled by the idea, but he exhaled after glancing down at the ground.

"This is a lot better than it could have been."

"Good choice, and yes, it will be another world."

I said finally, then put them to sleep with magic.

"Well, that's that."

"Why give him such a chance?"

Talia asked who had inadvertently pressed her body against mine.

I teleported them to my lab in Metropolis.

"For the same reason, I gave the League of Assassins a chance."

I looked into her eyes.

"We are useful."

She managed to say.

"I agree with you there. Thankfully, you are indeed useful, and your goal is noble... but your path to it is not. Did your people spread out across all LexCorp facilities?"

"Yes. Everything you commanded, our people have done. They wouldn't dare disobey you, Ra's al Ghul. Especially... knowing that you are a god."

She swallowed and brought her face closer to mine.

I know she behaves rather arrogantly when I'm not around, but she becomes a model of obedience to me... it's somewhat amusing.

I didn't miss the opportunity when our lips met... and I immediately realized she wasn't skilled at kissing but was trying very hard.

However, I could easily confirm the sincerity of her feelings, so I didn't mind.

After the kiss, I teleported back, left her in the office, and teleported again to Zatanna's mansion.

"Hope I'm not interrupting?"

I asked, looking at the father-daughter duo talking.

They were sitting on a bench near the mansion.

"No, I actually wanted to introduce you both more formally."

Zatanna said with a smile on her face.

She stood up and gestured for me to join them.

"Dad, this is Tony. Tony, this is my father, Giovanni Zatara."

"Nice to finally meet you, Tony."

Giovanni said while extending his hand.

"Zatanna speaks highly of you."

"It's my pleasure, Mr. Zatara. Zatanna has also told me a lot about you."

I replied, shaking his hand firmly.

"So, what brings you here today, Tony?"

Zatara asked with curiosity.

"I wanted to discuss a few things with Zatanna and perhaps seek your advice on a matter."

I replied, taking a seat on the bench beside them.

"Of course, we're always open to help a friend."

Zatara said warmly.

"What's on your mind?"

"I've been dealing with complicated situations involving different dimensions and the safety of those I care about. Your expertise in magic and the supernatural could be valuable."

I explained.

Giovanni nodded thoughtfully.

"It sounds like a challenging situation. Let's talk more about it. Maybe we can offer some insights that could help."

We started talking, and I felt relieved.

The support of powerful allies like Zatanna and her father made my burdens a little lighter.

Giovanni had been an Archmage for quite a long time… more than a hundred years, and I had a lot to discuss with him.

Moreover, he had already tested his daughter's magical knowledge and was surprised and pleased.

Therefore, he decided to leave the protection of people from supernatural forces to his daughter, not forgetting to pass on his experience to her.

After I brought Cortana to climax several times, I lay down with her in bed and hugged her.

However, an hour passed before she had to go to work. I was left to myself.

Currently, nothing that required my personal attention was happening.

Decision Time: 7 days

"Okay, then I'll use the card."

The "Random Movie/Series Travel Card (C)" appeared in my hand.

One day in another world with a time ratio of ten to one… that is, ten hours there would equal one hour here.

In about two hours here, I would be back.

There was no reason to fear a world of such a rank, and I mentally commanded to use the card.

The guy sitting across from her smirked.

"But right now... I regret not hanging out with Him."

She had a thoughtful expression on her face, and she shook her head.

"There's no one up there... I mean, in the sky. No one is watching us from above. It's Neither God nor Homelander, no one at all,"

She took a small pause.

"It's all a big lie..."

A second had passed when something landed on the street, causing everyone in the cafe to feel a small earthquake.

This set off car alarms, and she stared wide-eyed at the pensive, dark-haired guy who had fallen from the sky, unaware to the destruction he had caused...
