Emrys's heart pounded as he considered the implications.

Would his parents still be around after a hundred years?

Would his world even be the same?

The notion of living through centuries and experiencing the slow passage of time filled him with a deep sense of unease. He had always been impatient, eager to prove himself and achieve his goals. Now, he was being told to wait for a hundred years.

The thing that frustrated him the most was when he tried to subconsciously compare the hundred years to a million years, it indeed sounded insignificant, not worth mentioning.

Emrys felt a mix of emotions.

There was frustration, curiosity, and most of all, there was a profound sense of insignificance in his heart.

However, despite the overwhelming shock, a small part of him somewhere within his heart felt a flicker of excitement.
