King

The laughter faded, and Valina asked again, "But why not govern directly from the territories we already control?"

"I think Liang Bing is definitely up to the task!" she added with a smirk.

Liang Bing had vowed to get back at her for slapping him, and today would be the day!

Caesar sighed, choosing not to respond directly to Valina.

"The universe is too vast," he said.

"The universe is too small," he added thoughtfully.

"They all understand," he continued. "But even if you are willing to weaken your forces to maintain the universe's balance, the Kree Empire and the Shi'a Empire won't agree!"

"Speaking of which, they've extracted too many resources from my territory over the years!" Caesar thought, feeling helpless.

His empire was developing rapidly. His forces included a mix of raiders, believers, and allied civilizations. Yet, despite this, he still lacked the advanced technology built into his system.

The Angel technology in the Reincarnation Pool was exceptionally powerful, but it was unique to Angel.

He desperately needed numerous advanced space battleships and fighters—essential tools for his ordinary soldiers to patrol the universe's borders.

However, these could only be obtained from the Kree Empire and the Shi'a Empire in exchange for vast amounts of resources—dozens or even nearly a hundred times what a finished space battleship might cost.

And they would never share their cutting-edge technology.

There was nothing Caesar could do about it. Even if he could spend ten thousand times the resources, without the right technology tree, he couldn't build a space battleship with the same capabilities.

If mere resources could solve everything, the universe wouldn't have so many struggling civilizations.

However, even with those space battleships and fighter planes, determining the ultimate fate of civilization as the supreme combat power remains uncertain.

Caesar, however, was greatly disturbed by the two empires gaining significant resources in vain. He sought to resolve this issue promptly.

It's regrettable that the Skrull Empire's core technology tree wasn't preserved in the Andromeda galaxy. As for the core technology of other civilizations, unless Caesar is truly prepared to engage in warfare with major forces...

At the expense of a war that ravaged countless planets and endured for a prolonged period. And yet, they might not necessarily be attainable.

That represents the core technology of an entire super civilization. Even if the choice is between destruction or fleeing to the edge of the universe like the Skrulls, I shouldn't opt to preserve it and hand it over to my enemies. Perhaps, the enemy who sent it directly to their own enemy is more likely.

Maybe Caesar should consider establishing his own research team. Time has elapsed, marking eleven years since Caesar left Saka and encountered Captain Marvel.

In the eleventh year, the commander-in-chief of the Third Legion of the Angel Legion was born. He was named Hexi, also known as the Angel of the End, primarily tasked with internal affairs rather than external warfare. The Angels led all forthcoming Third Angel Corps to become Caesar's technology research and development team.

Their initial objective was to find ways to crack the inferior space warships and fighters supplied by the Kree Empire and the Shia Empire. By the twelfth year, Caesar's scientific team had expanded once more.

However, only a small portion of the former Skrull Empire's territory couldn't establish the Angel's faith. In the thirteenth year, the newly recruited Angel joined Caesar's technology research and development team as usual, while being infused with a considerable amount of Angel's faith.

Hexi was successfully promoted to the new king-level Angel, also known as the King of Heaven, signifying the cornerstone of the sacred temple. With this achievement, Hexi's scientific research capabilities were further enhanced, eventually culminating in the cracking and imitation of the Shia Empire's space fighter that year.

By the fourteenth year, Hexi had also successfully cracked the space battleship of the Kree Empire.

Angel's faith had finally taken root in the former territory of the Skrull Empire, now known as the Heavenly Palace Order. Alongside this, a fresh wave of Angels had joined the scientific research team.

Upon Hexi's suggestion, Caesar gathered scientists from allied civilizations to enhance the technology of fighter planes and warships for the Shia and Kree Empires. Despite the lack of samples, research and imitation progressed steadily, albeit encountering significant barriers with each technological improvement.

Top scientists like Hexi attempted to forcefully overcome these obstacles, while others resigned themselves to the possibility of overcoming them over an unimaginable span of time.

As for how long this might take— a thousand years? Who could say? After all, the three major empires of the original universe had evolved over millions of years.

In the fifteenth year, a new Angel joined Hexi's scientific research team, completing the third Angel Corps. However, progress stalled this year, much to Hexi's dismay. They confessed to Caesar that without the combined power of the three kings and full assistance from all Angels, elevating the space battleship and fighter plane to the top level of the two empires within a short period was nearly impossible.

Even cracking the core technologies of the two empires—such as the Kree Empire's omnipotent weapon, the soul shackles, and the Shia Empire's belief energy for teleportation beyond the horizon—was beyond reach.

Kaisha, led the formidable First Angel Corps under Caesar's command, championing Angel's faith across the universe. Meanwhile, Apocalypse Wang Liangbing led the Second Angel Legion, safeguarding Caesar's territories from blasphemous races and civilizations.

Despite their efforts, Caesar couldn't help but feel helpless. He supported Hexi's gradual optimization, knowing that technological advancements wouldn't bring immediate change.

However, a letter from Heimdall sparked a new idea in Caesar's mind, hinting at a potential breakthrough that could significantly enhance his scientific research team's capabilities in the near future.
