Just when Kendall and others were at a loss, Jace and the group in the villa next door were equally confused.

After returning from the crater prairie via hot air balloon, they decided to ignore Irene. She felt too embarrassed to face Jace, but her luggage and many other belongings were still in the villa, so she had no choice but to return for them.

When the two met, Irene gritted her teeth and continued to act, hoping to win Jace's sympathy and love.

"Jace, I really didn't push you on purpose. I was just too scared at the time and did something wrong. Can you forgive me?"

On the way back, Irene had tried to find a new backer but had no luck. The highest social status she could access was still Jace.

Jace found it absurd. A person's true character is best reflected when facing death, and yet Irene was still trying to deceive him. Did she think he was that foolish?
