She belongs to me

"Where am I?" Mr Anders asked the very moment he opened his eyes. An unfamiliar man was seen standing by the window closest to the bed with his back to him and hands inside his pockets. "Who are you?"

He turned around Mr Anders almost gasped. He remembered that he was the last person that he saw before he lost consciousness right after Nyx called for help. Mr Anders didn't know what to say to him or if he should be afraid of the man standing in his room right now.

"Who told you about her?" Reaper asked. His tone was neither harsh nor warm. It sounded as though it didn't matter whether he got an answer or not.

Mr Anders blinked at the sudden question, and he needed a moment to comprehend it.

"Who told you about Nyx?" Reaper repeated with a little more detail.

The name Nyx was all that was needed for Mr. Anders to understand. But the problem was that he did not know the answer to that question. Someone did tell him and with proof even, but he never got the name, and he didn't know what that person looked like. He believed it because Martha was confirmed to have had a miscarriage by the doctor they visited for a checkup during the early stage of the pregnancy.

"I do not know him," Mr Anders replied. He looked into Reaper's eyes for just a second before he averted his gaze. He could hold on more than that. He stared at his palms which were sweaty for some unknown reason.

"When did you know?" Reaper asked again. He drew closer to the bed, standing only three feet from it, his hands still tucked inside his pants pockets.

Mr Anders felt as though Reaper knew answers to everything already, and he was just testing his honesty. "Before she was born," he replied. He felt Reaper's gaze linger on him for a little while before he averted it. Mr Anders raised his hand to look at him and found him looking outside again. "I didn't lie. I do not know who that man was or what looks like," he tried to explain in case he did not believe him.

"I know," was all that Reaper said, but it was enough to have Mr Anders let out a sigh of relief.

"May I ask who you are?" Mr Anders summoned the courage to ask. The dark and ominous air around the man gave him warnings, but he realized that Reaper was not interested in killing him. He wouldn't kill the man he just saved, would he? Mr Anders thought.

"No, you may not," Reaper replied.

"Then what is your relationship with Nyx?" He asked. It didn't matter if he answered the previous question or not. He could just ask Nyx about it, although now that he thought about it, the possibility of Nyx giving him an honest answer was very slim, that is if she would even attempt to give him an answer.

"She belongs to me," Reaper replied. He drew closer to the window and looked downward.

Mr Anders was stuck on the words he had just spoken and missed the sudden change in the aura of Reaper and only snapping back to reality when the room became suffocating with a dark and malicious aura. But before he could say a word, Reaper walked out of the door, and he quickly scrambled to his feet to follow him. He was careful at first to make sure no part of his body truly existed anymore. When it was noted that he was all right, he followed him.

Getting out of the room, Mr Anders was met an empty hallway. He walked forward but was met the police coming towards him with the housekeeper who starrdvat him like she had seen a ghost.

Nyx was still seated on the bed with her head on Skye's shoulder when she suddenly felt anger, and the birthmark on her neck started to itch. A crease formed between her brows, and she moved away from Skye. She looked at the door as if expecting someone to come in, but no one did. Nyx stood up to go to it because she felt something was behind it.

"Is Something wrong?" Skye held her hand and asked. Her actions were strange, but he tried not to think too much about it. He stood up and closed the distance.

"Danger. There is danger approaching," Nyx said, now understanding what was happening. Skye looked at the door, which she still hadn't taken her eyes off, but he could not sense anything wrong. It was still as calm as before, and not even a shadow could be seen under the frame of the door to have aroused suspicion.

"There is nothing there…" A knock was heard, and he frowned. He didn't hear footsteps coming, and the knock was so light one could miss it if they didn't pay attention to it. Nyx instinctively took a step back and bumped into Skye, who held her protectively. His expression was hard with obvious anger. "We need to leave," he whispered. Though he said that, there was no way out of the room besides through the door, and that was already out of the question.

They saw as the knob turned and then the door was pushed open, but there was still no one standing behind it.

"Who is it?" Skye asked as he came to stand in front of Nyx to shield her. He thought all of the craziness of the day was over, but this was beyond crazy. It felt as though they had been thrown into a haunted movie.

At his question, a gust of wind blew into the room through the door and knocked him aside, successfully separating him from Nyx. He grunted and tried to stand, but he couldn't. It was as if his body now weighed a ton.

"I am not here for you," a woman's voice was heard before the person itself manifested in front of Nyx looking at him with a finger on her lips telling him to stay quiet.

Nyx took a few steps back to put some distance between them. Staying so close to an unknown individual who popped out of nowhere was not at all a good thing to do.

"So this is what you look like," the woman turned to Nyx and moved closer, her eyes assessing the human in front of her. "I am disappointed really," she clicked her tongue.
