The method Yoichi used for creating a jinchūriki was nearly perfect. The Six Paths Seal ensured that the beast's power wouldn't leak out, and the life energy acted as a safeguard, eliminating any side effects.
The Yin-Yang Release erased the beast's consciousness, preventing any resistance from the beast.
Over time, Sasuke's chakra would completely assimilate Ghidorah's powers, just like how Yoichi had done with his own beast.
Ghidorah, a Titan beast from Venus, had several abilities, though it only had two main techniques: an exceptional regeneration ability and the power to transfer its consciousness, as well as the ability to store bioelectricity and release it as gravitational beams.
Even before being summoned, Ghidorah carried a vast amount of energy, comparable to the Nine-Tails. Sasuke would never have to worry about running out of energy, and Ghidorah's powers also provided strong healing capabilities.
Upon returning, Sasuke was so excited that he wanted Yoichi to train him all night. But after receiving a couple of smacks, he reluctantly went to sleep. However, Sasuke's training could be doubled from tomorrow, using Itachi's standards as a guide. With Ghidorah's energy and recovery abilities, Sasuke would reach jōnin-level strength even before graduating from the academy.
If Sasuke could fully develop Ghidorah's powers, he might even reach Kage-level strength.
Meanwhile, Karin, knowing how strong Sasuke would become, refused to leave when Yoichi tried to go to sleep. Pouting, she clung to him like a koala all night, refusing to let go even as she slept.
Karin felt a deep sense of loss. Her younger brother, who wasn't as strong as her before, now had incredible power. If she couldn't continue bullying Sasuke, Karin would be upset for a long time.
Technically, Yoichi could summon a new beast after midnight, but there was no need to rush. Since the next summon was an unknown entity, he allowed Karin to stay attached to him throughout the night.
That night, neither Mikoto nor Mina were around; Yoichi was left with his two daughters, Yoko and Karin.
Naruto was in a similar mood. On the way home, seeing Sasuke, his rival, gain such power, he wondered how he could keep calling him a "dead last." Naruto had always been the weakest of the group, and now, even teaming up with Karin wouldn't be enough to take down Sasuke.
As for Haku, Kimimaro, and Itachi, they rarely got involved in the rivalry between the younger children.
"Naruto, what's wrong?" Kushina asked, noticing her son's gloominess.
"Sasuke got so strong all of a sudden. He's going to keep calling me a dead last."
Naruto sighed, sounding like an adult. He and Karin had always bullied Sasuke, but now things were going to change.
Kushina didn't know what to say, so she reassured him, "Don't worry. The Fifth Hokage promised to seal a beast inside you too."
"But, Mom, what if there aren't any left when it's my turn?"
"Don't worry about that. If that happens, I'll go knock on his door myself!"
Kushina rolled up her sleeves, showing off her muscular arms, which made Naruto feel better as he drifted off to sleep.
After Naruto fell asleep, Kushina muttered, "I'm going to find that guy tomorrow."
Minato quickly interjected, "Let's not rush, Kushina. If the Fifth Hokage said he'd do it, he won't forget. If you push too hard, he might get annoyed and change his mind about Naruto."
"He wouldn't dare," Kushina snapped, before realizing she had almost spoken her mind. After a moment of thought, she added, "Besides, I'm good friends with Mina, and Naruto is one of the last remaining members of the Uzumaki clan. Yoichi should help out just for her sake."
Satisfied with this reasoning, Kushina relaxed, feeling relieved that she hadn't said anything too revealing.
Minato, trying to ease her concerns, added, "The Fifth Hokage is fair to everyone. He's always treated his students and Itachi well, so there's no need to worry."
Despite Minato's complicated relationship with Yoichi, he had to admit that Yoichi treated everyone equally, especially Itachi. While everyone knew Itachi was Fugaku's son, Yoichi had always supported him without holding back, even sharing clan secrets that others, like Shisui, didn't have access to.
"I know. I'm just saying. Let's go to sleep, Minato."
Kushina ended the conversation, and after washing up, she joined Minato in bed.
As Minato lay beside Kushina, he listened to her steady breathing, but sleep wouldn't come for him. He could only lie there, staring blankly at the ceiling.
The last time he had angered Kushina by spitting out her cooking, he had to explain the characteristics of the Edo Tensei body to avoid further issues. Since then, he had only pretended to eat with her but never actually touched his food.
'Once Jiraiya-sensei returns, I'll spend some more time with Naruto and Kushina, then go back,' Minato thought to himself. He wanted nothing more than to stay with his wife and son forever, but being a dead man in a world of the living weighed heavily on him, especially when he ventured outside.
Most villagers stared at him in shock, their eyes drawn to his cracked, Edo Tensei body and his peculiar eyes. After a few encounters, Minato stopped going out altogether.
The pressure he felt grew heavier with each passing day, reminding him that the dead and the living belonged to different realms.
As the night deepened, on the other side of the ninja world, the sun shone brightly over the sacred land of Mount Myōboku.
Fukasaku arrived at the Great Toad Sage's chamber, surprised to find the sage awake. "Great Sage, the flow of toad oil has suddenly stopped. Is there something wrong with the source of the sacred land?"
The source of the sacred land was where Mount Myōboku trained its sages. It contained the purest natural energy, allowing the toads to maintain their longevity. Fukasaku and Shima had both trained there, which was why they had lived for over 800 years. Once they passed away, Mount Myōboku would select new toads to train in the sacred land to become sages.
"It's nothing serious. The flow will return to normal soon, Fukasaku."
"I understand, Great Sage. I'll take my leave now."
After hearing this, Fukasaku left, hopping away. The toads who trained using the toad oil would just have to pause their training for now.
Once Fukasaku was gone, a figure emerged from behind the Great Toad Sage's chamber. Holding a staff and surrounded by nine Truth-Seeking Balls, his aura was nearly as strong as it had been in his prime.
"You've recovered, Hagoromo?" the Great Toad Sage asked.
"More or less. I can only make two or three moves, but thanks to your help, Gamamaru, I've regained enough strength," Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki replied. Without the rich natural energy of Mount Myōboku, it would have taken years, maybe even decades, for him to accumulate enough chakra.
"Now we just have to wait for the right moment. I'll return this body for now, Gamamaru."
With that, Hagoromo sat down, his staff and Truth-Seeking Balls disappearing as he lowered his head.
Moments later, Jiraiya slowly regained consciousness, looking around in confusion. "Where am I? What happened… Great Sage? Why are you here?"
Jiraiya had thought he was still in Konoha, but after glancing around, he realized he was at Mount Myōboku.
The Great Toad Sage explained, "Jiraiya, your body was having some issues. Minato brought you here, but now everything's fine."
"Is that so?"
"Now that you're better, I'll have Fukasaku send you back."
Using Mount Myōboku's secret technique, the Great Toad Sage called Fukasaku, who then prepared to send Jiraiya back.
As they left the Great Toad Sage's chamber, Fukasaku asked, "Jiraiya, are you sure you're alright? When Minato brought you here, you were in a lot of pain."
"I'm fine now. If anything feels off, I'll have the medics check me out when I get back to Konoha. Hopefully, it's nothing too serious."
Clenching his fist, Jiraiya noticed that his sensitivity to natural energy had drastically increased. It was as if—
"Wait, Fukasaku-sama, hold on."
Jiraiya clasped his hands together, and after absorbing natural energy, red markings quickly appeared on his face, and his eyes turned into toad eyes. Besides these two changes, his appearance remained the same.
"A perfect Sage Mode? Jiraiya, have you been training in secret? You're even more skilled now."
Fukasaku was stunned. Previously, Jiraiya could barely maintain Sage Mode, and he needed help from Fukasaku and Shima to absorb natural energy.
But now, Jiraiya had entered Sage Mode instantly, maintaining it flawlessly—and it was perfect Sage Mode at that.
"I'm not sure what happened, but I feel amazing, Fukasaku-sama."
Jiraiya was thrilled. He felt stronger than ever, capable of maintaining Sage Mode without any assistance from Fukasaku or Shima.
"It seems this was a blessing in disguise. You've gained quite a bit from this," Fukasaku remarked, suspecting that the Great Toad Sage had intervened. While he didn't know why the sage had helped Jiraiya, he was sure that the sage would never harm Mount Myōboku, so he kept his thoughts to himself.
"Let's head back. If you ever need help, just let us know."
"Understood, and thanks for everything, Fukasaku-sama."
With that, Jiraiya deactivated the reverse summoning and returned to Konoha.
...
The following evening, Yoichi once again took his children, students, and the Uzumaki family to the Land of Whirlpools. This time, the summon was random. It could be a powerful beast, or it might turn out to be something less useful.
Karin and Naruto both clenched their fists, hoping that the summon would be something suited to them. Sasuke, however, crossed his arms, mimicking Yoichi's stance.
No matter how strong the new summon was, it couldn't surpass his Ghidorah!
Boom!
A massive magic circle appeared, followed by a deafening explosion.
Sensing the magnitude of the summon, Kushina and Mina realized that this beast, too, had considerable power.
But the next moment, they all felt an intense cold. The ground beneath their feet rapidly froze, forming solid ice.
Luckily, Yoichi's clone unleashed chakra just in time to block the freezing air and the ice spreading across the ground.
"Haku, this one's for you. The Frost Dragon, Sadayr. Its temperament isn't the best, so I'll subdue it before sealing it into you."
Inside the barrier, Yoichi's clone explained the situation to Haku, who nodded in agreement. Everyone else watched in awe as a towering, 100-meter-tall frost dragon appeared.
With a single breath, the dragon turned the surrounding landscape into a frozen wasteland, engulfed in the harshest winter imaginable.
The frost dragon's power was immense, but it paled in comparison to Yoichi. Enraged at being forcibly summoned, the dragon wanted to lash out.
But it was up against Yoichi.
After a fierce battle, Yoichi broke the frost dragon's wings and claws, severely wounding it. Only after incapacitating the beast did Yoichi use Yin-Yang Release to erase Sadayr's soul and consciousness.
When it came to intelligent creatures, being a jinchūriki was dangerous. If their consciousness wasn't erased, they would constantly try to manipulate the jinchūriki to break free.
With Sadayr subdued, Yoichi had Mina and Kushina seal the frost dragon into Haku. Haku, who already had the Ice Release kekkei genkai, would now be known as the Master of Ice and Snow in the ninja world.
"Hu…"
After the sealing was complete, Haku exhaled a cold breath, causing Itachi and Kimimaro to shiver and step back.
With a soft smile, Haku said to Yoichi, "Thank you, Yoichi-sensei. I feel great now."
Curious, Karin and Naruto couldn't help but reach out and touch Haku, only to shiver violently as they felt the icy coldness radiating from him. It was like touching a block of pure ice.
"Haku, once you've gained better control of your abilities, you'll be able to return to normal. With your skills, it won't take long."
"I understand, Yoichi-sensei~"
Haku's sweet smile made Yoichi's eye twitch. His student's delicate appearance had already attracted a lot of attention from male classmates at the academy. If Haku was this cute as a child, Yoichi couldn't imagine how beautiful he would be as an adult.
"Let's head back. Don't worry, Karin and Naruto. Your turn will come soon enough."
Yoichi spoke, feeling lucky that today's summon hadn't been something useless like a slime. The frost dragon's power and abilities were a perfect match for Haku.
In ten years, both Haku and Sasuke would be among the strongest in the ninja world, second only to those with Six Paths-level power. With Yoichi as their father and teacher, their futures were bright.
