CHAPTER FIFTEEN

Now, all the cats were free. A lot of them had bad limps and stuff, so ultimately we all decided to take a shot at the wilderness and sleep in a few bushes for now. 

Shadow looked up in surprise (and confusion) as I walked in. "Yep, sorry. It's just, there's only 3 dens and 7 wounded cats, but everyone wanted to give us a den, but we have to share…." I trailed off, feeling stupid. This really was a soap opera. First the cheesy lines, and now the one-bed trope?

"Kill me now, frsk sfsn." I muttered under my breath. Shadow still peered at me curiously as I sat down. "?? What?" Shadow's yellow eyes were still studying me. ? I knew I was probably beautiful, but surely not that much, since Shaodw himself was almost a model. "Im just used to being alone," Shadow said mildly, and then turned around and went to sleep. 

?????

"Welp, not anymore. You got me now." I said cheerfully and then turned around as well. I could have just been delusional, but I imagined Shadow was smiling at those words.
